A tag has been placed on Orlando Food Service, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Orlando Food Service. Please use the {{ hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Conflict of interest

If you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Cheney Brothers, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors; and
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. MuffledThud ( talk) 16:32, 10 February 2010 (UTC) reply

The article Cheney Brothers has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{ dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{ dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hi, Cheney Ashley. I think for this article you're on the right track with the Business Journal ranking, but you should include that information and ranking in the usual way in the article text with the source as a cited reference. Simply stating that references of notability may be found on the website of the article's subject usually doesn't pass. If there are third party references there which provide validity to the notability of this company, include that information in the article and cite the original source. Also, consider the info in the Conflict of interest section above provided by MuffledThud. See also: WP:CONFLICT ( Steelerdon ( talk) 20:44, 15 February 2010 (UTC)) reply
As you will see if you read the notability guideline, notability has to be established by third party sources: the company's own site cannot demonstrate notability. JamesBWatson ( talk) 21:52, 16 February 2010 (UTC) reply

I have nominated Cheney Brothers, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Cheney Brothers. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.
