Hi

Just wanted to say hi to another classmate @ Chels092: Great choice on the dentistry article. What are your thoughts on the term special needs? -- Wikiwheels93 ( talk) 01:24, 5 March 2020 (UTC) reply

Hi @ Wikiwheels93:! Thanks for the message. So glad to be connecting here. :) I'm excited to work on this article. "Special needs" and "special care dentistry" (as it's known in the U.S. in the dental professional community) are not my terms of choice. I always think of this beautifully done PSA when hearing (or feeling forced to use myself!) those terms -- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rsjnHCZOfg8&t=26s. I prefer the term "inclusive dentistry," but there's a bit of an uphill battle from an education and awareness standpoint. What are your thoughts? I'd love to hear what you think! -- Chels092 ( talk) 16:53, 9 March 2020 (UTC) reply
