For both the barnstar and especially for citing me there on your user page. That's a really classy gesture and much appreciated. Let me know if you ever have any other projects I might help out on. Best, Dan— DCGeist 07:02, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Hey, we've implemented a ranking system for the Alternative music Wikiproject (Top, high, mid, and low importance). You might want to drop by Wikipedia:WikiProject Alternative music to discuss the application of rankings to articles on the talk page. Is Nine Inch Nails more important than the Stone Roses? FIGHT!! WesleyDodds 22:45, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Before submitting the article to FAC, I'd contact a few FAC regulars who are stringent about prose, and ask them to give it a looking over. If there's any prose wrinkles it's best to iron them out before FAC. LuciferMorgan 03:09, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
I hope you do not mind that I used your Fair use rationale to add a few more audio samples to Led_Zeppelin#Discography and complete it so that each album is represented. IrisKawling 06:50, 2 February 2007 (UTC)
Ceoil, thanks so much for all the help at FAR - with Tony1 ( talk · contribs) away, I'm starting to feel swamped - I've noticed and appreciate you pitching in, since you've "been there, done that"! SandyGeorgia ( Talk) 02:35, 4 February 2007 (UTC)
Ceoil, why did you remove my youtube link (young Shostakovich playing the end of his op.35)? What's the rationale? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Anatoly larkin ( talk • contribs) 02:26, 11 February 2007 (UTC).
Hi, thanks for dropping by my page. I have been asking those editors quite a few times which images they would like removed and why, DCGeist and I are more than willing to comply with the issues involving the images and audio samples, but we've been given no specifics and would rather have some argument put against certain media rather than just cutting things out of the article at random. - Phorque 16:52, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
I'll have to take you up on that offer sometime :). Just trying to add more info - can you think of any thing thats missing? I'm sure the Reception section can be expanded also but not sure how. Anyway thanks for the offer and i left some comments on the Ellis Paul FAC. M3tal H3ad 08:11, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you for your input on the article, I have taken your advice. If you have the time to look over the article again and possibly re-comment on the recent changes please do so. -- Alex Ov Shaolin 19:06, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Ceoil, I re-wrote the lead paragraph for Ellis Paul, rearranging things a bit and adding a bit of content about his early life. A few weeks ago, after achieving the GA rating, I added content to support statements in the lead - specifically adding information about the DVD, the Notes from the road book and the Woody Guthrie connection. The "Boston School of Songwriting" theme mentioned in the lead is also well-supported so overall I think the lead is a nice overview of what follows in the main article. Kmzundel 15:10, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
I added this as a second citation to the sentence referring to Scatology as innovative. -- Alex Ov Shaolin 19:36, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
Hello
WikiProject Alternative music member.
WikiProject Alternative music, in my eyes, has proved to be successful "improving the encyclopaedic coverage of articles relating to alternative rock", and improving their quality as well. One specific example I have witnessed is
The Smashing Pumpkins article. The page has gone from a mediocre work, to GA status, to FA nomination. Only appropriate, as the Pumpkins are undeniably one of the most influential alternative rock bands on the 1990's and beyond.
This is the stuff I wish to achieve with the somewhat recently ressurected
WikiProject Rock music. I hope to also attract attention to
rock music articles of all sorts, and hopefully change some to GA or FA status. I invite you to come join us, and not only be a member of alternative Wikipedians, but the rockin' ones as well.
Rock on.

Ceoil, per your request, I have left a few comments on the Coil FAC page and also made a few style edits in the article itself. I am quite nervous about editing/critiquing others' work. Please let me know if you think my comments and edits are appropriate. Kmzundel 16:44, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
Another question/comment. I noticed that although you left comments on the Coil FAC page, you have not supported or opposed. So....it's OK to do that? I'm happy to leave comments for improvement, but because I don't know the subject matter at all, I don't feel comfortable/qualified to support or oppose. Kmzundel 13:43, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
One more thing - check out the improvements to my user page. I'm pleased since I don't have a clue as to what I'm doing. ;-) Kmzundel 14:35, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
Ceoil, thanks for educating me about sock puppets. I happened across your posts on the Queen FAC. Very interesting. :-) Kmzundel 17:09, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Hi I hope all is well. I wish to submit this article for FAC very soon, and was hoping you could give it the once over to make sure there are no visible problems within the article. If you're too busy, then that's fine - anything you can say regarding the article is fine, whether it be critical or an appraisal. Thanks! LuciferMorgan 00:37, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
1. "Lyrical themes, in particular in the song "Jihad", which describes the September 11 attacks from a terrorist perspective, outraged the Mumbai-based Catholic Secular Forum in India." Just thought the sentence was a bit snaky that's all.
2. "Jamie Thomson of UK's The Guardian newspaper was scornful of Rubin's contribution, and observed that Slayer "seem unwilling to ditch the nu-metal tendencies that have made much of their recent output so resistible, which suggests Rubin's involvement was considerably less hands-on than in his remarkable redemptions of Johnny Cash and Neil Diamond." I would have used "observing that" instead of "and observed that", since the sentence isn't on another topic but part of the same one. Does that make sense?
Anyway, please don't take offence to my pain in the ass nature - any help you can give would be warmly appreciated. I'm a little wary and scared of the FAC process if I'm to be frank - I'm afraid of 10 people swarming the page and tearing the article to shreds, so thanks a lot for your helpful contributions. LuciferMorgan 01:16, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
Ceoil, I am incredibly humbled. Thank you for your assistance. So many questions....will the Biography Peoject know? Biography Musicians? Still so much to learn.... Kmzundel 12:05, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Seeing that you are an active member of the WikiBiography Project, I was wondering if you would help lend a hand in helping us clear out the amount of unassessed articles tagged with {{WPBiography}}. Many of them are of stub and start class, but a few are of B or A caliber. Getting a simple assessment rating can help us start moving many of these biographies to a higher quality article. Thank you! -- Ozgod 20:21, 23 February 2007 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the Barnstar. How nice of you! -- Bookworm857158367 00:40, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
