Speedy deletion nomination of Mozenda

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

A tag has been placed on Mozenda requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject of the article is important or significant: that is, why an article about it should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you can assert the notability of the subject, . Clicking that button will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. You may freely add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

'This page should not be speedy deleted because this page defines a specific company's contributions to the web scraping software industry. Just like any and all of the tools listed on the "Web scraping" page on Wikipedia, the Mozenda page describes how this company is similar/different among web scraping tools and processes. The one link that should not have been there originally has now been removed. -- Cellobarney ( talk) 18:36, 20 May 2011 (UTC)' reply

Hello Barney Lund; while I understand the job of marketing, you're doing it wrong. As an employee of Mozenda, there are a list of violations in you creating/editing this article as well as references to it in other articles. It also serves no purpose for you from a marketing perspective, and at best serves as a waste of time for you an your employer; at worse it puts a black mark on the both of you as "that company/marketing employee that edits self-adverts into Wikipedia." Human.v2.0 ( talk) 20:20, 20 May 2011 (UTC) reply
The difference between a self-advertisement and a company page/overview are distinct, and I'm terribly sorry if my page edits are amiss. Proper representation on Wikipedia is my only goal in editing these pages. If there is any improper representation in the page, I ask for your recommendation of the content that needs editing. However, the page describing Mozenda as a company and the relevant part its products play in the web scraping market is, in fact, significant. In fact, I'll admit that this page was created in a very similar fashion to several other company pages in this exact space/industry. If this page needs amending, then dozens of other company pages in this industry alone would need the same. However, I can say very objectively that I am very glad that I can read about different companies in each industry. The information has been terribly useful for myself and my fellow classmates.-- Cellobarney ( talk) 20:42, 20 May 2011 (UTC) reply
Many other pages do have the same issue; but personally speaking I can only do anything about ones that I find. The article you made for and about your employer (which in and of itself is a major issue and grounds for deletion) also has no sources. None. And I poked around: I'm haivng a hard time finding anything like a "source" for them. If this is your job, you really should already know about the requirement for valid sources in an article.
