Like the new shortcut above? Anyway, I wanted to ask about this edit from last year. It seems like a good idea to me that we make it clear that the signing agent isn't signing away all rights. If you don't like that language, might I suggest, "I acknowledge that I grant anyone the right to use the work in a commercial product and to modify it according to their needs, provided that they abide by the terms of the license and any other applicable laws" (bold part is my addition)? (This also at Wikipedia talk:Requesting copyright permission.) howcheng { chat} 04:30, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
I see you closed this as a delete and removed the originally nominated article. However the other similar article and redirect page which I added to the afd are still there with their afd tags in place. -- BrucePodger ( Lets have a beer) 12:45, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi there
I am the last contributor and a new writer on Wiki and I am hopeless at editing this site. I tried to make a change but thought I had made it correctly. I was saying that we should keep this post because its credible and she has a reasonable profile. I am certainly not a spammer or a false wiki writer. Please help!
Many thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Journo818 ( talk • contribs) 21:44, 16 May 2008 (UTC)

Slakr's Barn Owl Award Who needs a barn star when you can have a barn owl? The star just sits there and looks pretty. The barn owl, on the other hand, helps prevent excessive rodent infestation, since it's one of the most active rodent pest killers. Now all we've gotta do is train it to deal with vandal pests and we'll be set. Anyway, just a general thanks for your dedication to making the encyclopedia better. Cheers =) -- slakr\ talk / 19:26, 18 May 2008 (UTC) |

New York City Meetup
|
In the afternoon, we will hold a session dedicated to meta:Wikimedia New York City activities, elect a board of directors, and hold salon-style group discussions on Wikipedia and the other Wikimedia projects (see the last meeting's minutes).
We'll also review our recent Wikipedia Takes Manhattan event, and make preparations for our exciting successor Wiki Week bonanza, being planned with Columbia University students for September or October.
In the evening, we'll share dinner and chat at a local restaurant, and (weather permitting) hold a late-night astronomy event at Columbia's telescopes.
You can add or remove your name from the New York City Meetups invite list at Wikipedia:Meetup/NYC/Invite list.
Also, check out our regional US Wikimedia chapters blog
Wiki Northeast (and we're open to guest posts).
