Have you read about what userpages are for? We use them to help build the encyclopedia; they aren't meant to be used for advertising. - FisherQueen ( Talk) 15:36, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
This is the userpage for a Registered UK Charity - registration number 1116862 and the page provides information aboutthe Charity and its activities, not advertising. By definition, advertising is intended to generate profit for an organisation or entity - as a non-profit organisation, this clearly cannot be the case for a charity.
Please do not be so patronising. If you actually read the entry, you would see that we already have a web page - this is merely an entry to allow interested parties to find out informaton about the charity. This is supposed to be a community venture - we are all volunteers and are saving the lives of children. Are the popstars and hollywood actors you 'advertise' doing the same ?
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove
speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with
User:Camkids. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{
hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's [[Talk:User:Camkids|talk page]]. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. -

"If you've seen a pop star using her userpage to promote herself, that would also be inappropriate; could you link me to the page so I can tag it for deletion?" - sorry, I have a life - I suggest that you spend your time doing it - I have a charity to run and children's lives to improve, or is that not worthy enough for you.
I have deleted both the article you created and your userpage. Subjects of Wikipedia articles should ne notable, and the article should be written neutrally. The article and the userpage failed both pillars. A ecis Brievenbus 17:55, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on CamKids - The Cambodian Children's Charity, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{
hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on
the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
Thanks for uploading Image:CamKids New Logo on Black with reg number and photos 800pixel.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
