Non-free files in your user space

Hey there CBehringer, thank you for your contributions. I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:CBehringer/Pneumococcal Awareness Council of Experts. In the future, please refrain from adding fair-use files to your user-space drafts or your talk page.

  • See a log of files removed today here.

Thank you, -- DASHBot ( talk) 00:48, 6 May 2010 (UTC) reply

You have continued to edit the development article [1] [2] since my last communication with you about the presence of this non-free image on that page. I offered an opportunity to discuss this issue, which has not been taken advantage of by you. I am removing File:Pneumococcal Awareness Council of Experts logo.jpg from User:CBehringer/Pneumococcal Awareness Council of Experts. You are aware of the policy, as it has been shown to you multiple times now. You are aware there is no allowance for development articles within this policy. If you restore this or any other non-free media to this development article in your userspace again, you will leave me little choice but to request a suspension of your editing privileges until such time as you agree to abide by our policies. This is a final warning regarding this issue. If you wish to discuss this issue, I'll be watching your user talk page for input from you. Thank you, -- Hammersoft ( talk) 19:46, 6 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Thanks for your message. Since I'm new to Wikipedia and html coding, I'm still learning how everything works. Is this how I respond to your message? I appreciate the warning about including the logo in my userspace. Once I move the article into a live space, will I be able to include the logo there? I have created the article at the request of the organization who's logo I have tried to include. Please let me know how to include their logo in their Wikipedia article. Thanks, CBehringer ( talk) 21:16, 6 May 2010 (UTC) reply
You're responding just fine! Bravo! I just took the liberty of refactoring it a bit. Once the article is moved into the main article namespace, you can remove the commenting out html code to display the image. Also, developing an article on an organization in the way you are might generate a conflict of interest. You should probably read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest before continuing further. Regardless, thank you for responding and thank you for your contributions! -- Hammersoft ( talk) 22:10, 6 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Hammersoft, thanks for your feedback. I read the COI info that you sent, and still feel confident that the information the page is neutral. I will remove some of the external links to the organization's website. Should I disclose my relationship to the organization somewhere so that this is not an issue? Thanks, CBehringer ( talk) 18:34, 7 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Feedback archived

Hi there.

A while ago, you requested feedback in WP:FEED. Because it has been a while, and you'd received at least some response there, I have now archived the replies in Wikipedia:Requests for feedback/Archive/26. Please do not edit that page though; if you require further feedback, add a new request on WP:FEED.

I am trying to clear the backlogs; it would help us a lot if you could look at the requests from other users on WP:FEED and add any comments to help them out. Anyone can respond there, so please do take a look, and comment on the articles from other people.

If you want help with anything at all, you could either;

  • Leave a message on my own talk page; OR
  • Use a {{helpme}} - please create a new section at the end of your own talk page, put {{helpme}}, and ask your question - remember to 'sign' your name by putting ~~~~ at the end; OR
  • Talk to us live, with this or this.

The last of those is particularly useful - please try it; pop in now and say hello. Best,  Chzz   ►  04:05, 28 May 2010 (UTC) reply
