you moved my article ' Cristian Vogel ' - I have resubmitted an edited version of my biography - there are at least 10 articles referring to my name on the WikiPedia, I have been an active composer on the electronic music scene for over 11 years, so I consider that I should be included in the Wikipedia ( many of the people I have produced, as well as band members from my own bands have articles ! ) - I hope the edited version fits the bill better, I have removed links and references to current projects etc.
thanks
I see my resubmitted article has disappeared again , so here it is - please submit it , if you think its acceptable

It wasn't a silly page. Please do not refer to real events as silly, as that is silly within itself. Would you say the article on TPing is silly? Would you delete the article on TPing? would you delete the article on egging? No, and they exist. Magging is similar to those events. Simply because it has not spread to where you reside, does not mean it doesnt happen. Should you delete the article on farsi because you don't speak farsi? of course not. Let the article be.-- Jalad.azadi 13:41, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:ABCQ1.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. I was upon wikipedia and I happened to come across a page where many users were talking about me in a negative way. I am unaware if Wikipedia has any bitching policies but I may have to 'IAR' myself and contact an administrator to sort this little mishap out. You seem to point out that I have threatened Wikipedia. I don't believe I have, I have merely predicted the outcome of Wikipedia if I were not to become an admin. Anyway I must ask the question we are all dying to know, what is Wikipedia? Is it the definition, the meaning of our existence, the very thing, which controls our lives? Is this what I am threatening? Captaindansplashback 10:15, 8 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I am a new user to Wikipedia, but I have been observing certain pages prior to the registration of my username. On one of your edits to Alpha Kappa Alpha, you deleted the contact information to the sorority. However, you unintentionally removed the AKA pin. I decided to re-insert the pin because I personally felt that the pin is a historical artifact. I hope that this didn't violate any policy on Wikipedia, and I hope you have a great day. Hi Brookie, Not sure if you casn help with this or not. I put an image up on the Richard Dannatt article and put it on as crown copyright but some American bloke is telling me it fails the fair use test as it is a living person. If this is the case, I can't really see how any image of a living person can be left! If you get the chance maybe you could have a look as you seem to be better at the copyright stuff than me! Hello, this is Paulkstadden, author of the John Birch Article. It has recently been deleted, and it shows in the log that you are the one who has deleted it. I would like a reason as to why it was deleted. There was nothing undocumented in it, as I have spoken through email with Greg Dorsett, owner of Rock Stars' Guitars, who knew John Birch personally, I have spoken with John Carling, owner of John Birch guitars as well as personal friend to John Birch himself, as well as many others who have allowed me to use their images. I don't know what else I could have referenced in the article. It was deleted with no warning to me, unlike the image deletions. I was planning to re-upload all the images with appropriate copyright tags. I have the rights to use every one of them, as I have received authority to do so from John Carling and the owner of the Glitter guitar. I was not backing up the content of the article onto my hard drive because I believed that I would be notified of any copyright infringement and/or nonsense and would be given time to back the article up. I have already requested an undelete, but if you can shed any light on why this article was deleted, I would appreciate it. I put a lot time and hard work into the research of this article, so I don't want to see it go away. Please email me at paulk@stadden.com.

Dear Brookie - hello and Happy New Year. I'm still taking my City of London Guides course and enjoying it greatly.
Meanwhile, as you are MUCH quicker than me, can I please ask you a favour? I have been editing Buckingham Palace Gardens - there's still lots of work to do. But some changes need to be made.
1. Please can you change the article title to Buckingham Palace Garden . The singular form is correct.
2. Could you then do a redirect from Buckingham Palace Gardens to Buckingham Palace Garden.
3. Could you add to the disambiguation page for "Garden" the new article title Buckingham Palace Garden, pointing out that it is known as "the Garden". Would you also please add the Royal Opera House (I'm not sure if there is a Wikipedia article on this, but as you know, it is also universally known as "the Garden").
I have cross-referred to Buckingham Palace Gardens in a number of other articles but once you let me know these changes have been made I will chase up the cross-referrals. Basically, the cross-referrals are in: Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle, Holyrood House, Time Team, Party at the Palace , Prom at the Palace, Children's Party at the Palace , and Golden Jubilee. ALL should be corrected to reflect the correct SINGULAR form, but I can see to this.
Many thanks as usual. Please let me know on MY talk page when you have accomplished steps 1, 2, 3 above. Best wishes. FClef (talk) 01:24, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
You recently made
this edit to the Kent Hovind article. Please note that generally, any edit which removes sourced information relevant to the article should be discussed first on that article's talk page. Also, marking such an edit as "minor" and with a summary which simply says "Tidy" might be considered to be a misleading edit summary. Generally, only edit summaries which could not possibly be controversial should be marked as minor, and removals of content should be clearly marked as such in the edit summary. Thank you!

I need some help setting up a Category page. What I'd like to see on wikipedia is Category: Sculptors who exhibited at the 3rd Sculpture International. More and more of the artists who were there are showing up at wikipedia, so there are ( opinion) enough to get the category going. Here is a handful of them. Chaim Gross, Pablo Picasso, C. Paul Jennewein, Albert Wein, Adolph Alexander Weinman, Jo Davidson, Milton Horn, Jacques Lipchitz and more. There are 250 in all, though most of those are not in wikipedia . . .... yet. Anyway. I am hoping that you can set this page, or whatever, up for me. Life is good. Carptrash 00:09, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

Dear Brookie, Hello; hope you are going along OK. I have been working (ongoing) on Lord Mayor's Show recently and have incorporated this picture by User:Diliff. It's a great image.
I cannot log into Wikimedia Commons and don't know how these things work. If you like the pic, can you put it forward for a Featured Photo?
Thanks and best wishes to you. -- FClef (talk) 23:12, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
Dear Brookie - please visit Talk:Flypast. A user has placed the page on Military history project as needing revision because of "too much UK focus," with the withering second sentence "It might interest people to know that the UK isn't the only place where flypasts happen." My reply, which I posted on Talk:Flypast and on their talk page, is self-explanatory.
I worked very hard in getting an international perspective and any defending you can do will be appreciated.
I understand if people feel the article can be improved and anyone can have a go, but I feel that the second sentence was not only uncalled-for, but also not reflective of the spirit or writing of the article.
Thanks for looking. -- FClef (talk) 23:33, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

It did not occur to me that the name in the image credit might be your own. Looking at your other uploads I see that that is obviously the case, and that you are related to a notable person, which is clearly something to be proud of. Perhaps you could add "(User:Brookie)" or "(myself)" next to your name so that others don't make the same mistake. Given that the subject of the photo is deceased, I can see how I may have upset you. If I did, please accept my apologies and condolences. — CharlotteWebb 10:03, 25 January 2007 (UTC)
Dear Brookie
It appears that RJASE1 really likes this article and has proposed it as a good article. He also raised it to Class B on the assessment scale of the Military History Project and Looper5920 has undone this and replaced the article at the Start Class. Looper also feels the article has too much UK focus and advances that as a material argument against it. Please read my arguments to Looper at Looper's talk page and would you, as an admin, please take any action necessary to remind Looper of Wikipedia standards, or to respond to him/her in any way you see fit? (After my experience with Big Royal Dig I'm not feeling hopeful at all about this - I can see another merciless edit on the horizon.)
Would you kindly also look at the messages I sent to RJASE1's talk page regarding this article.
Please also bookmark the article itself. I would be grateful if you could support its nomination as a Good Article. Thanks. -- FClef (talk) 17:40, 26 January 2007 (UTC)
Hi Brookie ! After much 'defense' on Serampore College (rather Senate of Serampore College), I had turned to Gurubrahma for help. Then, you sprung out of nowhere. Much delighted for the same. Around the same time I had also started a new article on Senate of Serampore College - but that got deleted after a week or so. Kindly help revive it. Further, long ago, I had also started articles on some of the affiliated colleges under the Senate of Serampore College. The Hermes had intruded there and also mentioned about 'unaccreditation' which again needs to be guarded against.
Under Serampore College, I wish to add list of Principals and matters relevant to the College alone. Once you revive Senate of Serampore College (was earlier started as The Senate of Serampore College, I wish to add a list of the Masters and the Registrars including affiliated colleges under it. I got a warning about deleting selections from a page I created today. The creation of the page was an iterative process, which is why things have been added and deleted as I go.
A question I have is how do I reference the information? The page periodically says that no references have been made for the information, but I don't understand where I even place the reference if the information is on a band and I'm IN the band, so it's first hand knowledge.

There is a difference between "simple" and "other" vandalism - the exception to the 3R rule applies to "such as graffiti or page blanking (this only applies to the most simple and obvious vandalism)" - that isn't what we had here - it was "other" vandalism and so the exception doesn't apply. Clearly you're far more well-informed than I on the topic. I hate to ask work from you in addition to the marvelous job you've done, but I wonder if you could add citation references to the document now that it's expanded? I know that's always the toughest thing later--when no one can remember what source established what fact--and while it's fresh it would be lovely if you could "cite up" the article a bit. Honestly, I think it's comprehensive and well-written enough for at least GA if not FA status. Bravo to you for some fine writing, and clearly for your work in the community as well, since I see you are an admin. Dear Brookie:
If I am to call you that, then I request that, for the purpose of this conversation and the conversations to follow, you refer to me, directly or indirectly, as Catnip, given its reference in my hometown to my last name. Now about the issue regarding the article recently created of Annie Riechert. She is a graduating memeber of the Senior class here at Thomas County Central High School. She is the lead softball player on the team, the Lady Jackets. After having signed with a school from the New England States, our teacher asked we create an article about her, should she pursue the road to greatness and become an international snesation. I believe that, in all essence, you deleted the article in question in haste, not allowing us the proper time to fully construct the piece. I do not mean anything negative towards Wikipedia, the creator of Wikipedia, the employees, employee's families, the sponsors of Wikipedia, or any person or business thereof associated with Wikipedia, or any side branches produced by Wikipedia. I hope that in the future, myself might be allowed to work side by side with Wikipedia, the creator of Wikipedia, the employees, employee's families, the sponsors of Wikipedia, any person or business thereof associated with Wikipedia, and any side branches produced by Wikipedia. I sincerely hope I have not offended you, and look forward to hearing back from you.
Sincerely, Catnip

I am trying to create a wiki page for a relatively new computer science data structure called a cover tree. Right after I made my first entry the page was deleted, and now I can no longer edit the page. I am currently doing an honors thesis on the subject and I do not understand why I am unable to contribute to the page.

I don't see adding the link to our site as advertising since we are the company that creates over 90% of the content that is published for Poser under the e Frontier name. With that in mind, I think that people might find our site (we sold our original URLs to e Frontier and started anew recently) interesting and useful due to our position with the parent company and that NO one who uses Poser doesn't use at LEAST one figure that we have made.
Notice I did not link to our store, only to our main site, I can change it to the forums if you would like.
Thanks for your time.
Sorry, I had put the link back up again, before I read your message....I thought that I had done it incorrectly last night.

Dear Brookie, Greetings to you ! I had uploaded some image/s onto wikipedia not knowing anything about copyrights. For example, Bandar.jpg [9]. I now find the same picture published in the "Times of India", a daily newspaper here in India without my name. How do I make my images copyrighted - meaning that anyone publishing it need to invariably mention the author/photographer's name.
In this context, how do I revert copyright status of my images ? Kindly advise. Pradeep 18:55, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

As you all know, some hacker cracked my password and I have been stripped of my admin powers. I can understand an admin. being blocked, but stripped of his powers without a fair hearing or consensus, I can't. I have stated that I changed my password and would like my powers back, however the chastizing going on in [ [10]] has sadden me. It doesn't matter how many articles you have written, contributions you have made or how many years you have dedicated to making this project a credible one. A hacker, it seems has the power of making people consider you an untrustful person and turning some people in the community against you.
I have never abused of my powers and I have used Wikipedia as a medium to educate others. Yes, I have no regrets about having made so many contributions to the Pedia. I exhort all of my friends here to make sure that their passwords are strong ones so that you will not have to go through what I am going through.
I did promise some of my friends a couple of articles and as a good Marine I will keep my promise. To my friends here, Thank you for your friendship. Tony the Marine 00:17, 8 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello Brookie, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image ( Image:Traudle.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Brookie/Pictures. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. Why is not possible to write new pages, about new people in wikipedia? What is the purpuse of a encyclopedia if not full information? I didnt wrote anything wrong and this wasn't the only addition that I've made. I thought administrators are different from robots. If I cant have a page where to test and play... a page about myself, which I am a real man, I see no reason in helping or sustaining in any way this community. And don't be wrong , without me , for sure is not complete encyclopedia. :)

The biog on Elliot Roosevelt lists him as a bombardier during WWII, but also lists him as flying a P-38. Be aware that the P-38 was a fighter plane, not a bomber. The article is further contradictory in that there was some criticism of Roosevelt's rise to Brigadier General when previously only pilots were so elevated. So the question is was he a bombardier or a fighter pilot? If solely a bombardier, the reference to the P-38 should be eliminated. Carroll01 21:11, 26 June 2007 (UTC)
Hey I was wondering why my page was deleted? The title was GNS. I copied the source code into a text file so it's ok, I just want to make sure it wont be deleted again. Whoever deleted it said it was a hoax, NOT true, GNS even has a website. www.team-gns.net, although the information on the website is vague, what I have in this article is true and from many sources, personal and media.
I am going to put it back up, please let me know what I can do to make sure it doesn't get taken down again for such reasons. I thank you so much.

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:BibaMiniskirt.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thanks for uploading Image:R&T.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. My page for FD Harper was deleted. He is a writer whose first novel is to be released in the winter and writes for various publications, including the Cincinnati Enquirer. He is publishing a literary magazine due in Sept (I think.) I didn't write much about him and maybe that's why it was deleted, I am putting together a more concise bio -- am I wasting my time, or will it get in? He is an important writer and is influential to many writers here in the midwest. He should be in Wikipedia.

Our company name is legally BNI - however Wikipedia keeps saving it to the spelled out name of Business Network International. Although we'd prefer our legal name - if you want the spelled out name, it would be good to have it accurate. Would you mind changing it back please???

you moved my article ' Cristian Vogel ' - I have resubmitted an edited version of my biography - there are at least 10 articles referring to my name on the WikiPedia, I have been an active composer on the electronic music scene for over 11 years, so I consider that I should be included in the Wikipedia ( many of the people I have produced, as well as band members from my own bands have articles ! ) - I hope the edited version fits the bill better, I have removed links and references to current projects etc.
thanks

It wasn't a silly page. Please do not refer to real events as silly, as that is silly within itself. Would you say the article on TPing is silly? Would you delete the article on TPing? would you delete the article on egging? No, and they exist. Magging is similar to those events. Simply because it has not spread to where you reside, does not mean it doesnt happen. Should you delete the article on farsi because you don't speak farsi? of course not.
{{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

Thank you, Paulkstadden 18:19, 15 January 2007 (UTC)
Yes, please, send me the link for that. Paulkstadden 16:16, 16 January 2007 (UTC)

The ferris wheel is not a permanent fixture in Central Milton Keynes, unlike the London Eye in London - it is only here for one winter season. I don't think it is a valid addition to the page. (Also, I don't see what it has to do with the grid squares apart from you can see them from the top of it). Is there a good reason to keep it? -- Concrete Cowboy 17:41, 24 January 2007 (UTC)

Thanks very much for the note--it's always nice to see how a stubbish article you've generated becomes something much better in the hands of others. :-) Best regards, Jwrosenzweig 01:07, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Dear Brookie, I just realised that someone has intruded into Senate of Serampore College (University) and has tagged it. Kindly have a look. Thanks. Pradeep 19:08, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Hello, Brookie. An automated process has found and removed an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, and thus is being used under fair use that was in your userspace. The image ( Image:Amelia.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Brookie/Pictures. This image or media was attempted to be removed per criterion number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media was replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. Please find a free image or media to replace it with, and or remove the image from your userspace. User:Gnome (Bot) -talk 03:21, 15 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi, I had just created a stub called Finlandia Travel, and you have deleted it before it was completed. Please let me know why, thanks. Mark
Ok, Thanks. It wasn't intended as an advert, but as an extension of the Buses in doncaster category, and had more details than some of the entries already in that category. By notability I assume you mean longevity in the area? Anyway I'll leave it be I didn't realise the problems with looking like advertisements. MArk Mark man2 15:37, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Dear Brookie,
It's been long since I had access to computer. I see that someone is proposing merger of Serampore College with Senate of Serampore College (University). As we know, these are two different entities and merger is strongly opposed. However, you may have a look into it and advise the proponent of this merger accordingly. Thanking you in advance. Hello Brookie, an automated process has found an image or media file tagged as nonfree media, such as fair use. The image ( Image:Traudle.jpg) was found at the following location: User:Brookie/Pictures. This image or media will be removed per statement number 9 of our non-free content policy. The image or media will be replaced with Image:NonFreeImageRemoved.svg , so your formatting of your userpage should be fine. The image that was replaced will not be automatically deleted, but it could be deleted at a later date. Articles using the same image should not be affected by my edits. I ask you to please not re-add the image to your userpage and could consider finding a replacement image licensed under either the Creative Commons or GFDL license or released to the public domain. Thanks for your attention and cooperation. User:Gnome (Bot) -talk 04:28, 19 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi
Greetings!
Thank you so much for promptly responding to my request. I so much appreciate it. Incidentally, I have done major editing of the text on the Rampura Neemuch page. Just noticed that in the process somehow the lake picture (bada Talab) is lost -- it does not show up.
What could possibly be wrong? Pl. help me udnerstand and restore it, if possible.
Thanks, again....Raji

how does an MP3 player work?

If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 17:59, 21 July 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:R&T.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. I dont recall ever adding anything about claudication. I might have added a comment somewhere about Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) but that is as close to that subject as I could have discussed. Is it possible someone hacked my identity? Please advise.

The Ashes article has him saying, "I had no confidence in Mr Studd, sir, so thought I had better do my best." I believe that you were the one who provided this quote, so I'm requesting a source for it. The original version, apparently provided by W.G. in Cricket (1891), has been paraphrased far too often. Not sure if this is where I'm supposed to contact you??? If there is a better way, please feel free to let me know.
You made a change recently that someone brought to my attention. You changed the name Business Network International to Business NetworkS International.
Our company name is legally BNI - however Wikipedia keeps saving it to the spelled out name of Business Network International. Although we'd prefer our legal name - if you want the spelled out name, it would be good to have it accurate. Would you mind changing it back please???
Thanks.

Dear Brookie - Hi, hope you are well. I did some guiding at London Open House weekend (sorry! should have told you about it...ah well, next time) and am now writing another article, on Robert Lewis Roumieu.
There are actually TWO Roumieus, so I did a disambig page. Have messed up by failing to include the word "disambiguation" in its title. Therefore the hatnote on the article doesn't work.
Would you kindly
I will ask you another question later.
