Why your "save"s aren't working

It's because other editors are reverting your changes the file back to the previous state. You can click on "View history" to see the history of changes saved to the article. If I had to guess, the changes you made appear, in some places, to have an unencyclopedic tone that does not honor our WP:NPOV policy, but you can leave a message of the Talk pages of the editors in question if you'd like to verify my guess. Please stop adding in fluff material. As stated repeatedly on the artists' talk page, only add encyclopedic material. Saying "Growing up in a hard-working, decent, loving family, Jensen was blessed from an early age with the support needed to learn and to grow, no matter where his life would take him." is nice, but is not encyclopedic, is not found in any 3rd party sources and causes WP:NPOV problems. Just a reminder that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a marketing database. It's all very well and good that Drake Jensen grew up in a loving family and that he believes in putting other people's needs first and in following your dreams, but those aren't the kinds of statements that belong in an encyclopedia. We care about the objective view of his career, not the electronic press kit version, so please stop readding subjective and unverifiable promotional statements to the article. Hi BigCape2012. We appreciate your well-meaning intention of putting descriptions you feel should be in the article, but I must ask you to follow the Wikipedia guidelines that are being referred to above and in the page edit history. In addition to being "unencyclopedic", some of the statements you're putting in are inaccurate. His home life and growing-up are not as you describe, and this is verifiable in several of the articles that were published about him and that are referenced in the article. Again, we know you mean well, but these repeated edits are only going to cause trouble for Drake's page if you continue to try to put them in. Best regards. *sigh* AGAIN: the edits you keep trying to add to Drake Jensen's article make it read more like the kind of promotional bio that might appear on Drake Jensen's own website and less like a proper encyclopedia article. Nobody has any intention of misrepresenting the facts about Jensen's career here, trust me — but our rules here are very explicit that the article has to maintain an objective tone, not a promotional one. It's simply not appropriate for an encyclopedia article to describe the topic in subjective terms such as "wonderful", "fantastic" or "sensational", or to talk about how he's "living proof that when you dream big, no matter how great the odds, dreams can come true" — nor is it necessary to go out of our way to point out that a teenager's suicide was sad. I'm certainly not going to argue that any of that is untrue in principle, but it's just not appropriate to use emotional adjectives or to make value judgements in an encyclopedia article. And we also don't need the external links section of the article to contain a link back to itself, and since the sentence about Sean Morin already says that they got married in 2008, it's just not necessary to add another "and also his husband" to the sentence. This is your last warning. Motion to block

As a contributor to the Drake Jensen page, I move to have this user blocked. The last update to Drake Jensen's page not only added "colouful" commentary which the user has been warned against, but also added a fictitious band member which, in my opinion, amounts to sabotage and ridicule. I believe that this user is maliciously trying to sabotage Drake's page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.194.127.36 ( talk) 16:12, 25 September 2012 (UTC) reply
