Hi,
I'm writing to you because you have been objective and unbiased in many matters on wikipedia in the past and I trust your judgement. I believe that I am being harassed by an admin who is abusing his powers to make POV edits on the articles on Michael Witzel and the California Hindu Textbook Controversy (he has admitted that he is a student researching such issues and so has a partisan bias on this matter). He has threatened me with blocks and bans and, based on his past history, may do so very soon. Right now, he has only made empty threats in my talk page, so i's not a problem. However, if he blocks me, then I request you to arbitrate this issue. I am informing you in advance because I will not be able to contact you if I am blocked by this admin. I was hoping you could expidite the Wikipedia:Requests for investigation on a vandal.
The reason I am writing you is because you deleted the Mohammad Reza Aghaei Laghaei page on July 22, 2006. [6].
This user has been a long time vandal to the CIA page, putting this name Mohammad Reza Aghaei Laghaei on the CIA page numberous times, and he has vandalized other pages sporadically over the months.
Today, I just reported this user to the Wikipedia:Requests for investigation police. [7] I also built a page about this user: Category:Suspected_Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Akademy-force, this page was automatically created when I put the {{Template:Sockpuppet}} on this users 8 user pages.
Is it possible to close all of these 8 ISP's and his user name down permenantly?
If you are interested in helping, could I put a message on the CIA talk page to report any future abuse by this user to you? Thanks for your time. Travb ( talk) 09:07, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

I too agree in blocking Alniko and his IP addresses 203.199.213.66 and 203.199.213.67
He is just making the reverts blindly. Several later edits are also getting reverted. It seems like he is having a personal copy of an older version, and just pasting it in the article. There are several warnings in his talk pages from the users User:Rajithmohan, User:Deepujoseph, User:Sathyalal, User:Samaleks, and some others.
He is still not complying to the wiki policies and guidelines.
The charges are :
I suggest to impose immediate blocking upon the user:Alniko and his IP addresses 203.199.213.66 and 203.199.213.67 to stabilaze the articles.

The same language is used from the same IP. Also the same comments from the IPs. Also while vandalizing he has just removed data with citations. Shame is pointless in this situation in my opinion. It is possible not to mortgage your conscience towards truth or give up working with others because truth is broad and people are malleable given the right circumstances.
You and I may disagree, but I will promise that I will always respect you if you respect me, and to date, I believe that you've done that.
Now, if you'll excuse me -- karma always comes around, but sometimes it needs a little push, so i'd better go put in some elbow grease. Karma fist 00:14, 22 August 2006 (UTC)

NEW DELHI: AS a regular surfer chances are that you would have referred to Wikipedia (online encyclopedia ) and perhaps even contributed to it or edited it. Not surprisingly, it is one of the best examples of collaboration and use of open source software on the World Wide Web. Thanks to its open source nature, it costs almost zilch to create and is now the 18th most visited site in India and 17th globally.
Wikipedia, which boasts of a content that is four times that of Encyclopedia Britannica, is also showcased as one of the most successful ventures in the open source world. Wikipedia founder Jim Wales is not stopping at that. About 1,800 communities are currently active to disseminate free knowledge and information be it in music, politics, humour or any other area. Plans are also afoot to move to a more stable version of articles.
When ET caught up with Wikipedia founder Jim Wales, he said, “Our existence depends on free software . This helps keep our cost low and also tap into a huge community of developers . We are actually trying to do something that is far beyond the limits of any proprietary software.”
Wikipedia depends on funds from voluntary donations of $50-100 each contributed mainly from people in the US, Japan and Europe.
Last year it had a budget of $7,50,000 and this year it is likely to be in the region of $1.5 million. Says Mr Wales, “We have no plans to go for an ad-based or any other revenue model.”
Interestingly, this online encyclopedia , that holds one million articles in English alone (English is just onethird of the total content), and gets close to 48,000 visitors a day, employs only four full-time staff, besides Mr Wales. A CEO, a manager and two programmers—one in the US and another in Australia. The rest, he says, is managed by volunteers.
A core community of 2,000 to 3,000 ensures flow of new English content, corrections and modifications . Wikipedia boasts of at least 48 languages, each with articles in excess on 10,000.
Wales appears unfazed by the spate of controversies over issues such as vandalism and edit wars - some of them in the political domain. He believes that the online community as a whole strives for neutrality and will keep a close eye on ‘Wiki’ .
“In terms of quality of content, we are quite pleased but it is not yet where we want it to be,” he said adding that the goal is to have a quality that is “better than Britannica” . Wales sees the next one or two years dedicated to moving to “a more stable version” .
The idea of Wikipedia 1.0, which is a concept and not a specific technique, is that we want to get to a stable version (of articles) so that we can do things like extract articles from Wikipedia to go to print or to go to DVD or CD ROM... That is difficult to do with a live site because the live site is constantly being edited, and there is a constant vandalism which is immediately cleaned up.
I have pasted above relevant part of a message received by me through e-mail sent to me by one of my friends. Yes, we shall become better than the Britannica. -- Bhadani 14:23, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Why is AMbroodEY creating these kind of pages and adding my name to top of this list ?

Hello Bhadani. Not sure if you're interested, but there is a lot of discussions involving the actions of certain users on my user page, most of whom participated for or against these pages, and their confrontational conduct and religious inflammation on talk pages and the like, eg Talk:Californian Hindu textbook controversy. you may want to have a say about how it's developing or review my actions/mediation so far..or perhaps relieve me of my duties even? Thanks, Blnguyen | rant-line 07:03, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
I found a site where you should be able to write in Devanagari font. It is here. On one side you write in English leters and on the other side, the Devanagari appears. From there you can copy and paste. Gizza Chat © 09:12, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi, I saw you on K's page where I land sometime to rest. On K's page you told about his name being mentioned in the national radio. What did they tell? -- Bhadani 11:39, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Dear Gangadharji,
Yes, off and on I do visit wikipedia and inspite of lot of opposition I still find it absorbing. You are doing very good work. May God bless you! VMO 17:13, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for the info, Bhadaniji. I'll have a look tomorrow. -- Sundar \ talk \ contribs 17:20, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi Bhadaniji - thanks! I am delighted that you created the article. I don't think that I'll be able to contribute, as I'm a bit busy here and I don't really know how Simple works - I'm a very verbose writer of prose, wouldn't know when to stop! However, many thanks for creating the article and informing me, Rama's arrow 17:30, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Hi Mr.Bhadani I still awiat your letter. But this note is to seek your advice concerning a very persistent anonymous user 128.104.190.25.He is bent on vandalising the Kayastha page-keeps on inserting Amartya Sen's name in list of prominent Kayasthas in the category of science and technology.Amartya Sen has made no contribution to science-besides he is not even a Kayastha, but a Vaid as he himself claims in his book. His first wife Nabaneeta is a Kayastha.I have corrected this over and over again leaving messages and in the last instance being rude-threatening to get him blocked! He has done it yet again.Does this call for his blockage?( Vr 06:26, 10 August 2006 (UTC))

Thank you, Bhadani for your helpful note early last month. I am working on that edit while learning the ways of wiki (rather slowly, I'm afraid). So this note is just to let you know I'm still hovering in the ether. Thanks again.

Could you watch Upanishads, Manusmriti, Arun Shourie and Caste. User:Yeditor has accused Netaji, myself and bharatveer of vandalism, going so far as to call Netaji a "blatant Hindu vandal". Since you are a fellow Hindu vandal, I'm hoping you will take whatever actions are necessary. I have justified my "Blatant vandalism" on talk pages, and edit summaries. Hello. Thanks for your Buddha Purnima greeting. I've been away from Wikipedia since December 2005 so I'm just catching up on outstanding messages. I'm the other kind of buddhist, the kind who doesn't really celebrate festivals or calendar dates, but it was nice to get a greeting anyway. Thanks.

Hi Badani, Please help us. One user is already vandalizing all Kerala related pages. Many users have already warned him. I have once posted a block request in admin page, but it was archived and no body noticed it. I have posted one more request in admin notice board. the request is given below.
/*Block request for user Alniko (sock puppets: 203.199.213.66 and 203.199.213.67)
Please block the user Alniko from vandalizing the pages of Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kerala. Many users have warned him many times in his talk page, but still not willing to listen. Even the final warnings to stop the Personal Attacks and the final warning to stop the edit war is issued to the user on his talk page User_talk:Alniko. He is even doing reverts which is against the 3R rule of wiki.
He is editing from the IP addresses 203.199.213.66 and 203.199.213.67
Please block this user Alniko and his IP addresses 203.199.213.66 and 203.199.213.67. */ -- Sathyalal Talk to Sathya 13:22, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

He has removed the pictures of Technopark from same IPs. That coincidence is very easy to recognize his IP. Also Once editors asked him to put his user id instead of IP and he responded. Thanks, Sathya -- Sathyalal Talk to Sathya 13:50, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
Hello Bhadani. I can see that recent events have shaken your belief in certain things in Wikipedia. You are one of Wikipedia's greatest assets and you aren't a political type of admin, so try to ignore it. There is a correlation to real politics there and we aren't real politicians. Stay strong.
