The original values from the JMA and JTWC are given in knots in multiples of 5, which are then converted to mph and km/h. For example, 155 knots would convert to 178.37 ≈ 180 mph and 287.06 ≈ 285 km/h. This is why sometimes the conversions don't always match up – because we aren't converting directly from mph to km/h or vice versa. ~ KN2731 { talk · contribs} 07:12, 3 May 2023 (UTC)
