Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to
Blackpool.
Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See
the external links guideline and
spam guideline for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses
nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you.--

As said above it isn't about the links being relevant, it is that when a users only contribution is to add links it is seen as
WP:LINKSPAM, where it says, "repeatedly adding links will in most cases result in all of them being removed." It is great that you want to contribute to wikipedia, and I would urge you to add content to the articles rather than simply adding external links. Wikipedia articles are improved by the addition of content rather than just links to other sites. This link would help if you decide to add content -
WP:HOW. And the links in my first message above explain why the links were removed (
WP:EL and
WP:NOTLINK) Hope that helps and explains. --

My passion is for uk coastal towns. I would love to contribute historical information as well as point people in the direction of relevant video tours. This was actually my intention anyway. I set about adding links to video tours so that subsequent background information could be contextualised by visual presentation. I also thought it would easier to get a big job like that done in one go.
