Admin powers? Hmm, off the top of my head we can grant rollbacker status to other users, delete pages, protect them, block and unblock users, and that's it I think. In terms of position-related abilities, we enforce ArbCom decisions if necessary and also mediate disputes that pop up.
Now, templates: it depends on the type of template you are trying to create. If a similar type already exists, I'd suggest copying the source code and playing with that. The problem is not Wikiproject Romania. The problem is rivers in general. I was working in international aid in cases of emergencies, many related to water related disasters. This concerns not only Romania, but also other countries such as Kyrgyzstan, Bangladesh, several African countries a.s.o. In none of the countries where I had to provide help did I have reasonable information about where the disaster occured. You generally find out that a certain river has flooded some area, but it takes forever to find out where that river is - and sometimes you even find out that there are two or three rivers with the same name and that you sent the supplies to the wrong one. Time is important. For instance, I remember one occurence when I was working in Bangladesh. People had found refuge on a dyke surrounded by flood water. Wildlife, such as snakes, had obviously also gained high grounds. There were more people dying by snake-bites than of other diseases and we had to send the antidote shots as fast as possible. I had the medicine, I had the boats, I had the staff but I it took ages to find out where to send everything.
For me the issue is not to provide information to a scholar who sits at his desk and writes a book on a water related topic. It is also not to help a kid write an essay for school. If properly used this information can save lives. And it is not easily available - there is no site which copiles this information in a systematic way.
If I had a choice I would have started with Bangladesh. Unfortunately I can't read the Bengali alphabet. I started with Romania, because they recently had bad floods. But this should be done for all countries.
Thank you for asking. Afil ( talk) 19:23, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I say keep the little banner. It really isn't harming anything. IMHO, anyone who can't take a joke on a user page should probably examine their priorities with Wikipedia. Making Wikipedia as dull as possible only drives away creativity. Who knows? maybe someone will come up with something else for the "new messages" banner? That would work better?!? Furthermore, as an example of something with a little more in-depth humor, check out this page and tell me if you would want this chemical in your city's water supply? He'd actually been blocked three times before this most recent creation. I just indef-blocked him, given his total lack of constructive contributions and unwillingness to engage in discussion (which is exactly what I warned him I'd do after his last block). I'm assuming you're asking if I have room for adoptees, in which case yes, I do. :) Master of Puppets Call me MoP!☺ 01:03, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
I was looking over your edits, and they do look good. Did you ever want to become an admin? You would make a great one... soon. Try the following improvements: (Keep them as goals for March)
Other than that you are a great editor, and definitely a future admin! - Milk's Favorite Cookie 02:09, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Hey, can you please not delete Wimpy E Syndrome? I need it just up for a day or two to use for a class project. We're showing how Wikipedia cannot always be a reliable source since my nonsensical article is posted. Likewise, my english teacher is also my French teacher so we're using this crazy French term as an example.
Thanks.
Oh that's just rubbing salt into the wound now, isnt it :) Have a good one. Joelster ( talk) 03:39, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
P.S. Cool logo thingy at the top. I love it! You wouldn't happen to know where I could get my hands on one of those???
Has she been on Wikipedia, she hasn't responded to the original message I posted at her talk page. Just wondering. Happy editing, Midorihana ~iidesune? 06:48, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

I hate to sound like a dick, but I don't really have to leave you a notice that I removed something that is against Wikipedia policy. I left an explanation as to why I removed it in my Edit summary. --Cheers, L A X 00:13, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for telling me. Have you seen the Rfbs yet? Maximillion Pegasus ( talk) 01:41, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
I was just browsing your userpage (wink wink).. then I came across a weird link... :) Thisisborin9 talk| contribs 01:59, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi Basketball, thanks so much for the barnstar - much appreciated. Best, Gwernol 02:08, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Hi, Bball110! Your reasoning for your oppose of Riana's RfB is a little cryptic. Do you mind elaborating a bit on why you don't think she should be a bureaucrat? Thanks, Darkspots ( talk) 02:32, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Well, I don't know what to say. I don't think there was anything to apologise for, on your side, so I didn't think I needed to accept an apology. I tend to think quite sparely and focus on focus on the matters 'on top', so to speak, rather than any underlying implications one's comments might contain. That's probably my fault. That said, I accept your apology as it is, and I offer you one for my rudeness (and I was rude, and I have no excuses for that). ~ Riana ⁂ 03:13, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
Most people wouldn't...until they take the time to learn a little more about the chemical. Then they realize it isn't so bad. Tell me what you think. — BQZip01 — talk 02:45, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

This user has found Thisisborin9's secret hidden sub page! Can you find it? |
Hah, it was pretty lame... But you found it!
Yeah... we've still got a whole month. :) jj137 (talk) 03:19, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
On the left, we will have our projects picture, of the Game Day. On the right, text explaining that "well this here ar-tick-ell is our co-labb-or-ation (I don't know why I'm doing that, maybe it's because I'm Texan or something) of the month for March". That was a weird message, but I think you get the point. Basketball 110 what famous people say ♣ 03:35, 1 March 2008 (UTC)
You marked my article for delition, if you do so then every site linked to on this page should also be immediately deleted. I added it ONLY because my site was mention in the article I pointed out.
