Feedback on your article

Hello BNelson006, Thank you for writing your article in your sandbox! I have read the article and would like to give some feedback to improve your article to Wikipedia standards and customs. While your tutor will judge it content wise, I will look if it meets the quality standards we have on Wikipedia. I standard look for a series of subjects that need improvement or are okay.

  • Intro sentence: Please do not use "is a term", you can just say "refers to". Please fix.
  • Links: Adding "[See ...]" does not look well and is not okay, I do not understand why you do this. This is not how you do this in a normal sentence ever, nor in Wikipedia. It can be solved easily: use instead "(like ...)". Please fix this! Also this is strange: "See also xenia and hospitium." In general: you use sufficient links.
  • Headers: sufficient. No reason to capitalise the A in "See Also" and I would suggest to change "Resources" to "References" as that is common to use. Only one issue: in 10 years from now "Today" refers to a different period in time than it does now. An article needs to be timeless: independent of when someone reads it, it needs to be read in the same way and meaning the same. Please change "Today" to something specific in time.
  • References: Please add a reference at the end of the first sentence of the article or the first section. Please do not add a space before a reference. Please check reference 7 and fix the issue, also the link is not good. Under the header "Resources" you added a dot -> strange! Please replace it by {{Reflist}}
  • Ready to publish: because your article is about accommodation sharing/hospitality service, and the article Hospitality service already exists in Wikipedia, your article can't be published. But, both the sections "History" and "Today" can be added to the existing article Hospitality service. (I think you can do this at the end of the coming session.)

I hope you can implement this feedback to your sandbox article before our next meeting. Thanks! Romaine ( talk) 12:11, 28 November 2016 (UTC) reply
