Hi Avi 1. Josephus does refer to twenty different men called Jesus throughout his works. However all of those Greek Jesuses, such as Jesus ben Ananias are Yeshua in Hebrew. The spelling Yeshu is never used in any other context than Jesus of Nazareth according to Voorst 2000. 2. Ephraim Urbach 1956 does not say that Yeshu does not refer to Yeshu, he says Balaam does not refer to Yeshu. 3. Nosson Dovid Rabinowich however "may" say that he considers that Yeshu does not refer to Yeshu, in which case you have provided the modern source that the medievel view is still held by some. As you are the only person who has shown any interest in providing a source can I please ask that you provide text and page number - as far as I can see the Gil Student webpage doesn't actually have Rabinowitz himself saying that in his own words, but it may do. I noticed that you recently blocked

Professional Insurance Agents. However, Professional Insurance Agents was only soft-blocked due to username concerns, and they were therefore welcome to create themselves a new account. In light of this (and
Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Professional Insurance Agents/Archive) it would probably be appropriate to unblock MaryChristiano, as they have not actually violated the sockpuppetry policy.

an actuarial voice out of the past; i am writing an article about John Francis Mitchell who is a cousin. He invented (co-invented with martin cooper who worked for mitchell) the cell phone and was a giant in the communications industry. his story is in my sandbox and i have lots of work to do to complete all the references and links.
here is my problem. his son, kevin, who is also my cousin, is in a state of denial about his father's accomplishments. for example, he insists that his father was the sole inventor of the cell phone.
also, john mitchell was the mover and shakeer behind the "iridium constellation" project which had to be refinanced and which is now profitable.
kevin does not want me to mention Iridium. when the WSJ wrote a memorial about john mitchell, Motorola Executive Helped spur Cellphone Revolution, Wall Street Journal, June 20–21, 2009, p. A10 they mentioned Iridium; this upset Kevin who wrote a letter to the editor complaining about the fact that they mentioned Iridium.
so now as i shared a draft of what i am doing with Kevin, he is coming totally uncooperative and threatens to block what i am doing.
so i ask myself; should i stop writing the article or not. how do i deal with a relative who will drive me or the editors of wiki crazy? joe ( talk) 21:28, 3 November 2011 (UTC) joebrophy

I found you on WP:CU. So there's been debates over what to include in History of Montana with Rjensen and then Parkwells shows up out of nowhere. Wiki stalker shows [2] 516 pages in common (few are talk pages) and on a wide range of topics. I could see maybe 100-150 if it's a narrow range of topics, but this is a wide array of topics and over 500 pages in common. Can you investigate this and what can be done? Thank you. PumpkinSky talk 11:06, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
Fine the article should have well cited references however I think it is unfairly tainting the entire article, you can't have a neutral article that documents someone purely by stating their (heavily disputed) errors. I'm going to keep the cited references but I will also update the article with some positive and referenced aspects so as to have a more balanced article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sakimonk ( talk • contribs) 08:30, 22 January 2012 (UTC)

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mark Adler until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. Dear Avraham,
My name is Jonathan Obar
user:Jaobar, I'm a professor in the College of Communication Arts and Sciences at Michigan State University and a Teaching Fellow with the Wikimedia Foundation's Education Program. This semester I've been running a little experiment at MSU, a class where we teach students about becoming Wikipedia administrators. Not a lot is known about your community, and our students (who are fascinated by wiki-culture by the way!) want to learn how you do what you do, and why you do it. A while back I proposed this idea (the class) to the community
HERE, were it was met mainly with positive feedback. Anyhow, I'd like my students to speak with a few administrators to get a sense of admin experiences, training, motivations, likes, dislikes, etc. We were wondering if you'd be interested in speaking with one of our students.
So a few things about the interviews:
Bottom line is that we really need your help, and would really appreciate the opportunity to speak with you. If interested, please send me an email at obar@msu.edu (to maintain anonymity) and I will add your name to my offline contact list. If you feel comfortable doing so, you can post your name
HERE instead.
If you have questions or concerns at any time, feel free to email me at obar@msu.edu. I will be more than happy to speak with you.
Thanks in advance for your help. We have a lot to learn from you.
Sincerely,
Jonathan Obar -- Jaobar ( talk) 15:41, 8 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi there Avraham, hope you're keeping well.
I noticed that you recently blocked
MaryChristiano as a sockpuppet of
Professional Insurance Agents.
Many thanks,
Spitfire

Hi Avi,
A discussion of what contents are appropriate for the Criticism of Judaism article has again arisen, and I believe you were quite involved in the previous discussions, so I thought you'd like to know about it. Cheers! Jayjg (talk) 20:11, 28 August 2011 (UTC)

Seems like an issue coming over from Swedish wikipedia. Since you are a Steward, and know the other Stewards, is there any assistance you could provide us in terms of clarifying the issue? On July 27, you moved User:Guidestar1 to User:LNichols per CORPNAME. However, LNichols or one of her colleagues is still able to edit as Guidestar1 (see Special:Contributions/Guidestar1). Shouldn't that account be made inaccessible? Binksternet ( talk) 15:39, 29 September 2011 (UTC)
an actuarial voice out of the past; i am writing an article about John Francis Mitchell who is a cousin.

Thank you for the kind words. I understand; we all have our opinions as to subjects of the articles on Wikipedia; what we try to do is strictly adhere to our guidelines to ensure that every articke gets treated the same way. Thank you for finding those sources which help flesh out why Sudais is notable and balance the article in accordance with WP:NPOV. There's some pretty nasty trolling going on on Talk:Fisting targetting User:Ctjf83. Can you take a look at the recently blocked accounts User:Vallejobadlands, User:Droidhelper, User:Ziplinezulu, User:Droidfetuses and User:Decentsentinel? I don't know if they are connected to User:68.103.24.102, but blocking that IP would probably be a useful preventative measure. Thanks. Delicious carbuncle ( talk) 03:13, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Hi Avi,
I've run into an issue with User:Mystichumwipe at Josef Mengele and a couple of other articles. I think my assessments of the issues and situation are reasonable, but he has accused me of bias and is asking for outside eyes to look at it. You're pretty calm and level-headed, and have a reputation for neutrality and even-handedness; would you mind taking a look? Jayjg (talk) 21:34, 7 February 2012 (UTC)
Further to our previous correspondence, your Audit Subcommittee candidacy page has been created. Please visit the page to review (and if necessary, edit) your nomination statement, as well as answer the standard questions. You should also keep watch for any further questions the community may pose. Feel free to contact myself or another arbitrator if you have any questions. Once again, thank you for your offer to serve on the subcommittee. – xeno talk 03:56, 9 February 2012 (UTC)
Hi, just saw you blocked Yamaaan ( talk · contribs) and Charming Sabeel ( talk · contribs) as socks of each other. I now find that per File:Sabeel Hussain.jpg and per common editing profile, the Sabeel account is also linked to earlier Sabeeel43 ( talk · contribs), which was indef-blocked in November. Should we then indef Yamaaan too? Cheers, – Fut.Perf. ☼ 14:41, 12 February 2012 (UTC)
Hello. This is an automated message to tell you that, as it stands, you will shortly be mentioned in this week's 'Arbitration Report' ( link). The report aims to inform The Signpost's many readers about the activities of the Arbitration Committee in a non-partisan manner. Please review the article, and, if you have any concerns, feel free to leave them in the Comments section directly below the main body of text, where they will be read by a member of the editorial team. Please only edit the article yourself in the case of grievous factual errors (making sure to note such changes in the comments section), as well as refraining from edit-warring or other uncivil behaviour on project pages generally. Thank you. On behalf of The Signpost's editorial team, LivingBot ( talk) 00:00, 13 February 2012 (UTC)
