You might well be right, and when it looks like it could be an article in progress I generally hold off tagging it and stick it on my watchlist if I think deletion would cause the author to have to re-do a good deal of editing. In this case I reckon if (s)he does have to re-start from scratch there are only a couple of lines to retype. I suppose I should use {{ blank-warn}} more in these cases! Cheers, Tonywalton | Talk 23:16, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi - the program is thoroughly manually run, like VP, so I decided to brandish it nonsense - realistically because, as you noted, it is a clear deletion candidate, and also because I wanted to check the warning system in the program for nonsense (I'm yet to find the templates for attack pages). I hope this clears it up, and by the by, I'm looking for testers for it, so if you're interested, just let me know :) M a rtinp23 00:17, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
Hi there; I was just warning this user when you beat me to it. Although you gave him a final warning, I could not see any previous examples of his vandalism. They may, of course, have been deleted. Please tell me to mind my own business if you are so moved, but you do know, I trust, that wiki policy is to give a suspected vandal four warnings, of increasing firmness, before blocking him/her? Giving a level four warning for a first offence is liable to result in no admin being willing to block, which negates your effort.-- Anthony.bradbury 01:06, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
When I revert somebody, I tend to watch their contribs for at least the next 5-10 minutes; in cases of users like that, usually even longer. If he'd continued as such, I would have blocked without any questions asked. As is, looks like somebody who's less patient than I am already indeffed the bloke. :) Luna Santin 00:08, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

He's been blocked (though not by me, as I'm not a sysop). Heimstern Läufer 23:56, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
Nah, not yet. Maybe someday, though at this time I'm probably not ready for an RFA. Heimstern Läufer 23:59, 16 November 2006 (UTC)
You're welcome. He wasn't welcome here. User:Zoe| (talk) 00:03, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm afraid WP:AGF gets over-used. I would have blocked him after two blankings. User:Zoe| (talk) 00:07, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
I suppose you (or I, or others) could explain things to the vandal fighters... User:Zoe| (talk) 00:12, 17 November 2006 (UTC)
I'm using vandalproof. It types almost everything I'm saying with one click. Thanks though. -- T H L CCD 01:05, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Exactly. BTW, I have to do something real quick. Could you monitor this page - Ralph Roddenbery- the author has given me some trouble. I had to report him, and I'm waiting for the admins to get to it. If not that's fine, but it would make me feel better if it was being monitored. Cheers, -- T H L CCD 01:11, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
He did give me some grief. He ignores my warning =s until I have to report him, and then he follows the rules. I just don't understand some people. -- T H L CCD 01:18, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
Our comments did overlap for a while, but I think they are fine now. Yeah, I don't get it either. Oh well, it gives me a reason to play with my computer :). Cheers, -- T H L CCD 01:27, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
