The Teamwork Barnstar |
Hi, you receive this barnstar for the amazing teamwork you have done during CIS-A2K/Work plan July 2017 - June 2018 work. Thanks for your hard work and dedication. -- Lahariyaniyathi ( talk) 19:49, 1 April 2017 (UTC) |
Hi Ananth subray. You added
Category:Indian mathematicians to multiple articles. However, per
guidelines [E]ach categorized page should be placed in all of the most specific categories to which it logically belongs. This means that if a page belongs to a
subcategory of C (or a subcategory of a subcategory of C, and so on) then it is not normally placed directly into C.
The pages you added the category are already members of
Category:20th-century Indian mathematicians,
Category:21st-century Indian mathematicians and so on so they should not be added to
Category:Indian mathematicians. I am reverting all your additions, but if a page is not a member of these subcategories, feel free to reintroduce the correct specific category. Best regards. --

Hi Ananth,
Firstly thank you do much for your contributions to the Government Museum, Bangalore page. Especially the gallery additions. We need more contributors like you to join the GLAM effort in India.
I do have some suggestions though. I feel there are a disproportionate amount of picture here, effectivery flooding the page and we need to prune it down to a manageable set. Perhaps you can pick some of the special pieces, perhaps around 5. The rest can be part of a linked commons category.
These contributions of yours are valuable indeed. However we need to balance readability and user ability to sustain interest in a page. It is advisable not to have too many images for a part of the collection. Besides the museum has many other gallery/sections that we could potentially cover through pictures.
Please assist with selecting the 5 pictures to retain for the external idol gallery.
Thanks again. Look forward to collbaorate with you.

Hey Ananth, I need to restart PAWS to move it back to use toolsdb now that it is stable but I noticed you seem to be using it for some long-running tasks that might be disrupted by a restart. Could we schedule the restart for the next few hours? Chico Venancio ( talk) 18:05, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
