A tag has been placed on
Mercio Pereira Gomes, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the
criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please
see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{
hangon}}
on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on
the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mhking 13:38, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi this inquiry is about a table on demographics in Kazakhstan page. I have noticed a while back that you created the table. Since it was a welcomed addition I did not pay much attention. Today, however, I noticed that there are categories that the Soviet Union did not use in censuses, like Kara Kyrgyz. I checked (your?) citation at the bottom of the table which links to a document Phavna Dave authored. That document does not contain such a table? I am concerned because it might not be accurate. Would you care to comment on this matter? thanks in advance. cs 17:39, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, i dont know much about the website, but i believe that it is reliable. The figure of 38% Hindus is reasonable, if we include the native inhabitants of the island, who were forced to leave the diego garcia island when it was made the millitary base. Though I dont think that Hindus would constitute 38% of the British Indian Ocean territory's present population. nids (♂) 13:21, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Rohit K Vyasmaan.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

I do not believe that your addition of Israeli outposts is one relevant to the article. The title of the article specifically states settlements and not outposts. Many of the places you have listed, have already been repeated above. Also, the table you have added is not in any specific order, which can easily cause confusion to the article. Please fix the edit you have made, before I fix it on my own. Leppi 04:57, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
Population statistics for Israeli West Bank Outposts, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Population statistics for Israeli West Bank Outposts satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also " What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Population statistics for Israeli West Bank Outposts and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Population statistics for Israeli West Bank Outposts during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. I don't think this phrase can be substantiated by available statistics: "In Rural areas, the Fertility rate was slightly above replaceable levels, boosted by large Cossack, Starozhily, Promyshlenniki and German ( Mennonite German & Bug Hollander) population." (With a reference to the Starovery)" article. While all these groups may be represented in the region, and may indeed contribute to the greater fertility of the rural population, we cannot claim that the contribution is significant for the following reasons:
To summarize, I think we should not speculate on the contribution of such small and/or poorly identified groups to the overall demographics of a region, unless we have a source that refers to them by name - and explicitly mentions their higher fertility rate or whatever. Thank you for uploading File:India Hinduism11.png. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

As a significant contributor to Demographics of Estonia at some time in the distant or recent past, I am asking you to look over the article for any factual errors that I may have introduced or overlooked in my recent cleanup of said article. I have no expertise at all regarding Estonia, but undertook to clean up the article anyway. My primary contribution was to create an introduction more in keeping with the provisions of WP:LEDE, and to introduce a more readable prose in place of the previous emphasis on tables and bullets. The current result is far from perfect, but I think it is much more reader-friendly. My concern is, is it factually accurate? If you are knowledgeable, please give it a lookover and make any necessary corrections. It would also be very appreciated if some additional sources could be added to the article. Hi, Just went through the page Anti-Shannar riots of Sivakasi. Even if I do sort out this issue, I ll only be creating more problems. This conflict was actually won by the Nadars. 1500 Nadars were able to make 5000 maravars flee. Including lines like this will aggravate the maravars. The Maravars and Nadars have been rivals for more than 100 years. So far I have only edited articles related to the Nadar community because it was simple and small. :) So the thevars might think that I am actually with the Nadars in this matter. If that happens my neutral reputation will be spoiled. I am an inexperienced editor. Your call. What do you want me to do? The Thevars are even more sensitive than the Nadars. This is a complicated article to be included in wiki. Lindamd90 ( talk) 08:10, 31 October 2009 (UTC)

Hello. Regarding three articles all dealing with one language:
Am reaching out for concensus. I recommend that there should be one main article, and the other two should link to it. Do you have any thoughts on this? Rosiestephenson 22:37, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Thank you for confirming the Melt van Schoor thing - I had a feeling that he and Raymond were not, in fact, brothers, although the information I got from Cricinfo implied that they were brothers - in fact, his profile still claims in the text that they are brothers, but in the information at the top that they are indeed father and son. I will restore the Yiddish name of the Jewish Autonomous Oblast, but first I would like to know why you got rid of it -- in case you have a justifiable reason I can't think of.

Thank you for your help. Un sch ool 17:54, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Re, your message, what refusal? When have you ever contacted me in the past? Never. I would appreciate it if you didn't accuse me of taking a stance that I have never taken. Secondly, I am not an admin.— Dæ dαlus Contribs 18:26, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
I have granted rollback rights to your account; the reason for this is that after a review of some of your contributions, I believe you can be trusted to use rollback correctly, and for its intended usage of reverting vandalism, and that you will not abuse it by reverting good-faith edits or to revert-war. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback and Wikipedia:Rollback feature. If you do not want rollback, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Good luck and thanks. – Juliancolton | Talk 21:18, 27 October 2009 (UTC)

I'm not an administrator, I could not have done anything more than what you were already doing. However, I suggest in the future that when you had an editor repeatedly reintroducing information, that you attempt to talk to them via their talk page, rather than continuing to revert their edits over and over. Also see WP:WARNING to give them proper warnings in the hope that they might stop. IIIVIX ( Talk) 08:24, 28 October 2009 (UTC)
Hey there! I removed some of your changes to the Nair article; specifically regarding the claim that they are Kshatriyas. I noticed that the statement was sourced, but I was unable to find the pertinent quotes. Would you please provide the same? Thanks! -- vi5in [talk] 19:33, 15 November 2009 (UTC)
