Links

Before you go creating too many links, you may want to read the Wikipedia:Manual of Style (links). Having too many links is as bad as too few. Having too many links close together is also problematic. Also links should be to things that are relevant to the article, not just links because the item happens to have an article. Try to keep them related so it's helpful to the reader's understanding. Arthurrh ( talk) 22:31, 29 November 2007 (UTC) reply

Thanks for the advise. I did go in and take out the links to the years as they had no real relivance on the article. I have actually been studying your articles to get a sence of the format that is best. feel free to continue to help me out (I will need it)-- Alfordap 19:13, 30 November 2007 (UTC) reply

No problem. There is a lot of wikipedia, so I thought I'd point it out since I saw you working on links. If you have questions, let me know. Make sure to read Wikipedia:Five_pillars if you get a chance. You might also want to checkout and join the Wikipedia:WikiProject_Firearms. Arthurrh 19:22, 30 November 2007 (UTC) reply
Actually I have been checking out the project page but it says nothing about how to become a member. Do I just start my user page and link it in the "active users" section of the project? Alfordap 19:28, 30 November 2007 (UTC) reply
Yes, just edit the active members section and add your name. Arthurrh 19:47, 30 November 2007 (UTC) reply
