You know, it might help if you'd wait a bit after an article was created before making the sort of edits you did to that article. I'd just put it aside to get some information I needed and you waded in and made some ridiculous edits. For example, I'd put in in music with the intent to get the precise year, and you changed it to In Music, as if there was an intent to link to an article called "In Music"! And what's worse, you put that in AFTER I FOUND the proper year. Also, you put in stub when there was a more appropriate stub type to use, and unreferenced just because I hadn't finished the article yet, so references had not yet been added! If you'd waited more than the less than a minute you did before editing, I wouldn't have had to revert most of what you did! – BRG ( talk) 19:36, 9 November 2009 (UTC)

Instead of hitting the minus sign to remove a category, hit the plus sign the way you would if you just wanted to make a minor spelling correction — and then completely replace the old category you want to remove with the new one you want to add. So, I started working a little on Nico's article and I'll probably do a lot more when I'm on break. Can you give me a few suggestions for improvement on the article? OK. This is really hard to explain, so I'll provide the diff. Instead of writing the same reference twice, you can give it a name and just provide the name in other places which use the same reference. That's where the a b c d etc. blue links that sometimes show up in a reflist come from-multiple citations of the same reference. I'll continue looking! Airplaneman talk 05:26, 13 November 2009 (UTC)
Overload! I think I'll have to keep reading and messing around before I fully comprehend all of it. I looked at what you did on Nico, makes perfect sense. It might just take a couple practice edits before I actually get it right! As for Briares, does that mean we should add it to the list? I'll see what I can do about the in-universe stuff on Nico, although I have to agree that that's probably one of the things I'm not as good at. I'm not sure how much I'll get done this weekend (weekends are crazy for me), but I'll keep working whenever I have time. Thanks for the help! PrincessofLlyr ( talk) 18:04, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Dear Airplaneman, Many thanks for the words of encouragement, always well received, especially by this newbie! I am writing in the hope you can help me resolve the current issue I have with the Wendy McMurdo page, having exhausted my limited abilities to ensure the removal (so far) of the banner at the top of her page which says currently "This biography of a living person does not cite any references or sources ... etc". Her notability isn't in question, and the references I have used, are all entirely verifiable, being as they are almost entirely in the public arena, eg internationally published books, internationally held exhibitions with other famous (and verifiable) artists, or long published media such as mute. May I presume the banner remains at present as I have incorrectly posted the information, rather than the information being considered to be less than sufficient for meeting the wiki standards for notability or verification? Eitherway, I would be very grateful to receive your help in ensuring the correctness of the information presented in wikipedia, and look forward to hearing from you in due course. With thanks and kind regards Roboticus2 ( talk) 17:29, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

I think this might interest you. There's a group that is dedicated to improving articles that are about Classical Music. Just go to Wikipedia:WikiProject Classical music/Compositions task force. At the middle of the article there is list of members (you'll see my name there). add #, a space, and three tides at the bottom of the list on the edit page and you're in the club! :)
Please do not use correction scripts on any page that is not in the article namespace (that is, the name has nothing before the beginning of the name like Albert Einstein, or has just a colon, like :Albert Einstein. This is because such pages may have deliberate errors that are used to show what users ought not do.
Also, please do not change html entities that start with an ampersand and end with a semicolon into characters, because some of these characters look nearly identical in some fonts, and editors can't tell what they are. -- Jc3s5h ( talk) 01:31, 23 November 2009 (UTC)

I've gotta admit: even though I'm a year older than you, your organisation skills are a lot better than mine. So yeah, I'll move it in by next weekend, as long as nothing weird comes up and delays me. I'm actually spending a lot of time now trying to cite sources: most of the character pages cited nothing, so i went and cited all the relevant books. As I said before, I don't mind you editing those pages, since I know you will not try to vandalise it. So if you have time, you can help me cite the books. usually I cite like this: . some of the ref names i've used are: intothewild, moonrise, and catsotc (otc stands for of the clans). That way, afterwards, I just have to type . but I suppose you already knew how to do that.
Brambleclawx ( talk) 22:58, 29 November 2009 (UTC)

Brambleclawx ( talk) 23:54, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Well, the issue is that most of them have few or no citations, so they might be subjected to deletion. So if you could add some citations first, sure. Brambleclawx ( talk) 00:09, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
apparently, you need to put a copied template on it to give credit to the original contributors. Brambleclawx ( talk) 00:35, 30 November 2009 (UTC)

I have now moved the pages into the mainspace: I would like you to add citations for the tribe page and the cats outside clans page.
I will also begin to fix links Brambleclawx ( talk) 00:51, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Hey, do you believe me when I say the cat on the cover of Twilight is Crowfeather? 'Cuz there's some editor who keeps changing it to Cinderpelt even though I have put proof for it in a hidden comment. Brambleclawx ( talk) 02:02, 3 December 2009 (UTC)
Do you think its necessary to make searches of ThunderClan, WindClan, etc. become redirects? and apparently, if you search "shadowclan", you immediately arrive on a page about an MMORPG. Brambleclawx ( talk) 01:52, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
I made the redirects for River, Sky and Wind clans, but i dunno how to do the shadowclan one. Also, creation of a new page called "ThunderClan" is currently protected from re-creation, cuz its been deleted 7 times under that name, and 4 times under the name "list of ThunderClan cats, and im not sure if its a wise idea to bring this up with editors, since they've deleted this page about 11 times in the past, and im not sure if this could be deleted under WP:CSD#G4. anyways, if you could do the ShadowClan one, I'd appreciate it. also, I don't know if its necessary to immediately redirect seraches of Tribe of Rushing Water to the warriors article, since i have no idea if this might actually point to another article.
Brambleclawx ( talk) 23:48, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
I've talked to an admin, and i now have old versions of those pages under my userpage:
User:Brambleclawx/List of ThunderClan Cats, User:Brambleclawx/List of RiverClan Cats, User:Brambleclawx/List of WindClan Cats, User:Brambleclawx/List of ShadowClan Cats, and User:Brambleclawx/List of SkyClan Cats.
From what I can tell, the new pages should be safe from Wikipedia:CSD#G4, since they are substantially different from what they were before. The only one that worries me is the SkyClan page, which still looks very much like it did before. My idea is this: transfer the information listed in the old deleted article (accessible through the link i gave) about the old SkyClan cats (the ones that got driven out), then add a minor characters table like the other Clan pages. And do you feel there might be an issue with self-Published sources? uz its kinda hard to find any other source relating to warriors...
Brambleclawx ( talk) 20:53, 5 December 2009 (UTC)

In case you didnt notice yet, we've lost one more WikiProject Warriors member to the inactive list: Bramblestar (ShadowClan Leader), his reasoning being this.
Brambleclawx ( talk) 21:57, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Well, actually, that guy was previously listed under "Possibly Inactive", so he didnt get a role call message, and since he was active, i decided to contact him. I have left a message for TakaraLioness, who, if im not mistaken, is the single editor who has edited the Warriors page the most.
Brambleclawx ( talk) 22:14, 5 December 2009 (UTC)
Sure. I've done that now to redirects for the plays and short stories. Brambleclawx ( talk) 21:02, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
I've been looking over some Wikipedia guidleines: I am so sure that Night Whispers (Warriors) is going to get deleted, since Wikipedia discourages articles about unreleased books, and there's virtually no information on the page at the moment, because there really isn't much we can put on the page... ideas?
All the book specific pages probably need an overhaul as well: Wikipedia also does not like pages that are bascially just plot summaries.
And I'm still working on grammar and spelling for all pages. I think by January, Warriors (novel series) might be ready for nomination for GA status. Brambleclawx ( talk) 02:14, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
An easy way is to find one page that lists critiques for the book, and search that reviewer for reviews on the other books as well. Brambleclawx ( talk) 02:24, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Oh. I know you're probably just as busy as i am, but if you have time, i'd like your help making all the references on Warriors (novel series) use the same format. It looks neater, and its easier to cite. also, some people cited the book description pages on HarperCollins and amazon instead of the book itself. That probably needs fixing. But I guess this will take time, since we're both busy with school. If I had more time, I could probably do it quite quickly. But I'll really appreciate help with this. Brambleclawx ( talk) 03:06, 9 December 2009 (UTC)
Hi Airplaneman, thanks for the message. The Dell Adamo comment read to me as more like trivia and seemed out of place in the MacBook Air article. It's interesting no doubt, but I didn't get the impression it really belonged, which is why I removed it. I also feel the phrasing, "At the time of release, Apple described…" was enough to imply that there would be obvious future contesters for 'thinnest laptop' status. If you specifically mention Dell Adamo, does that mean any thinner laptops in the future will also need to be listed there alongside? EssentialParadox ( talk) 00:47, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

I thought of another question. Does an article automatically upgrade (say, to C-class) or does it have to be reviewed or something? Oh, and I hope you feel better soon. Not that I would mind a day off school...but I think most people dislike being sick! Thanks! PrincessofLlyr ( talk) 19:15, 13 November 2009 (UTC)

Dear Airplaneman, fantastic, really appreciate the work you've put in, the page looks perfect! I'll have a go at citing the books inline as you say, over the next few days, and eitherway very grateful for your help! Kind regards, Roboticus2 ( talk) 09:55, 14 November 2009 (UTC)

User violin-3
User violin-4

It really helps a lot. By the way, I noticed that you made some changes to my new article Prelude in C minor, BWV 999. Thanks! :) Oh, and by the way, if you go to an article called The 39 Clues, you might find a lot of grammar mistakes. I haven't had time myself to correct them. Could you please do it for me?

Hello Airplaneman, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I have changed a page you tagged ( Last Man Standing - The Drinking Game) from being tagged for speedy deletion to being tagged for proposed deletion. The speedy deletion criteria are very narrow to protect the encyclopedia, and do not fit the page in question. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Thanks again! JohnCD ( talk) 21:10, 25 November 2009 (UTC)
I was able to find references to expand Saint Nicholas Society in the City of New York, which you had tagged for speedy deletion. I think that notability is now clear. – Eastmain ( talk) 03:01, 26 November 2009 (UTC)
Welcome to wikiproject warriors!

Anyways, thanks for joining, and I'm sure you can help me a lot, since I'm still a fairly new user.

I think you noticed this on the character list page, but its on every page: the ord priority is used instead of importance, so none of the pages have an importance rating. I started fixing them, but its kind of tedious. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brambleclawx ( talk • contribs) 03:59, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

I was looking over all the other pages, and I'm realising that a lot of links (on the pages themselves, and on other warriors pages), will need to be fixed. Brambleclawx ( talk) 17:08, 29 November 2009 (UTC)
Oh. I didn't know that. Thanks. and by the way, don't bother putting a tb template on my page: I have this page in my watchlist.
Er... well i was talking to an admin about it... lemme see... its here. And there, I'm directed to read Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.
Brambleclawx ( talk) 01:22, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
Thanks for doing that, I really appreciate it. Brambleclawx ( talk) 01:24, 30 November 2009 (UTC)
Great!
Hello Airplaneman. In reviewing CSD nominations, I have noted that two of your recent nominations (Pimpinela and S dnem rozhdeniya Vika) sucked (i.e. were not in accordance with policy). Please be more careful when tagging other contributors' work for speedy deletion. We're getting a bad rep (e.g., the WSJ front page article earlier this week) because of reflexive actions such as the ones you took. -- Y not? 15:30, 27 November 2009 (UTC)
