Stop the advertising

Your constant advertising of VMKaddict in the VMK wiki needs to stop. The site you continue to add is a very poorly maintained free-forum based site with little to no information about the game. We see that you are doing this to advertise your site, but this wiki is not the place. You are not going to get traffic to your site -- just as fast as you are adding the link I am removing it. You are crossing the line of vandalism and spamming very quickly. You will be reported to a wiki admin and suggested for a block.

Note: Wikipedia is not a place for advertising. If you can prove the site's value to the game in any way, we can consider keeping it. Thanks and please refrain from advertising VMKAddict. -- Onua9159 20:13, 27 March 2007 (UTC) reply

VMKaddict

A tag has been placed on VMKaddict, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{ hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. -- MCB 07:03, 16 March 2007 (UTC) reply

VMKaddict

VMKaddict has plenty of information about VMK. It has the complete pin list, complete dictionary, complete staff list, all of the new releases with their prices, all of the spoilers for quests, information about the VMK newsletter, information about all of the off-site VMK games, information about all of the lands, shops, guest rooms, mini-games, NPCs and so forth. The list goes on. All of the information about VMK is also updated on a frequent basis.

As for you stating that it is a free-forum based site, that is inaccurate. It's actually paid for by the admins. It's free for members to sign up, though, if that's what you were referring to.

As for saying it's a poorly maintained site, that's a matter of opinion. The admins and mods spend several hours each day keeping the site well organized so that it is easy for members to navigate.

If you don't want links to the site posted, that's fine. They were only posted since a lot of the information provided by Aficionada were taken from VMKaddict.com. —Preceding unsigned comment added by VMKfan ( talkcontribs) 01:13, 27 March 2008 (UTC) reply
