Orphan tag

I've noticed you tagging a few articles as orphans which actually have 3+ incoming links. Can you please explain why you're doing this? ♠ PMC(talk) 09:22, 24 February 2022 (UTC)

I use this tool and wiki search to find but not found. Is there any other way to check in comming links? If you let me know how I can check? Aanya Umair ( talk) 09:28, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
You should be looking at the " What links here" page on the sidebar, under tools. "What links here" shows all pages that link to a given page. The "Find link" tool you linked provides assistance with finding potential links for articles that don't already have incoming links - a completely different function. ♠ PMC(talk) 09:32, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
Thank you, I have other questions too. If you don't mind can I ask you? Aanya Umair ( talk) 09:35, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
Sure, go for it. ♠ PMC(talk) 09:37, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
What is notability criteria for Villages, Towns, Cities, books, authors? How to find new topics to create Wikipedia pages? How to find content what help us to expand a already existed articles?
As a did little research thousands of villages and towns of Pakistan don't have a Wikipedia page. How someone like me can add them create a Wikipedia pages for villages and towns etc? Aanya Umair ( talk) 09:44, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
You can find lists of notability criteria for various things at Notability; there's a little box on the side with the main ones. Requested articles might help you find topics you may wish to write about that don't already have articles, but you should make sure they meet the relevant notability criteria with proper reliable sourcing before you create any. I find most of my sources via Google search and other online databases, as well as books. If you search for a page and it comes up as a redlink, you can click on that to create the article. Especially for small villages, it can help to copy the structure from an existing small village article and just change the details. Make sure you include reliable independent sourcing (not Google maps, not Wikipedia; for villages towns, census data or other official government publications are best). ♠ PMC(talk) 09:50, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
@ Premeditated Chaos: Thanks a lot. Let me know if I can join you on any Wikipedia project. It will help me to learn from a experinced editor. Thanks once again. Aanya Umair ( talk) 09:57, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
Is there any mentorship program that trained new users? Aanya Umair ( talk) 10:00, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
WP:TEAHOUSE is a newbie-friendly place to ask questions about editing. You could also look here for information about finding a mentor/"adopter". I don't personally do mentoring/adopting on a formal basis, but lots of helpful people do. ♠ PMC(talk) 22:14, 24 February 2022 (UTC)
