Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions to the page File:Anthony Brocco.jpeg, but for legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition was deleted under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text—which means allowing other people to modify it—then you must include on the external site the statement "I, (name), am the author of this image, (article name), and I release its content under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License, Version 1.2 and later, and the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License." You may also e-mail or mail the Foundation to release the content. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more.

While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. You can also leave a message on my talk page. — Cryptic 16:20, 28 July 2015 (UTC) reply

I've also removed two logos from your draft article Draft:Advanced Markets. Use of non-free images in drafts

Hi Joey Kinyanjui. I just want to let you know that I have removed File:ASIC logo.JPG from Draft:Advanced Markets. The logo is licensed as non-free in accordance with Wikipedia's non-free content guidelines because it is still considered to be protected by copyright. Non-free images such as this logo need to satisfy all 10 of the criteria listed in WP:NFCCP and should not be used in any of the ways listed in WP:NFC#UUI, WP:NFG and WP:NFLISTS. The reason you cannot use the image in the aforementioned draft is that WP:NFCC#9 states that non-free images are only allowed to be used in the article namespace. In other words, they cannot be used on user pages or article drafts, etc. If the draft in question gets accepted as an article, then it might be possible at that time to re-add the logo as long as all 10 of the non-free content criteria are satisfied and usage complies with relevant Wikipedia guidelines. Until that time, however, the image simply cannot be used per NFCC#9. This is simply meant as a friendly heads up since it appears you are still fairly new to Wikipedia and thus may not be familiar with all of its various rules and guidelines. Please be advised, however, that continuing to inappropriately use non-free content (i.e., copyrighted content) on Wikipedia could be seen as being disruptive and possibly lead to being blocked from editing by an administrator. If you have any questions or would like to discuss this further, then please feel free to do so at WP:NFCR#File:ASIC logo.JPG (and File:Asic.jpg). The editors on that page would be more than happy to answer your questions. - Marchjuly ( talk) 04:20, 29 July 2015 (UTC) reply

Non-free rationale for File:Asic.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Asic.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the " my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Marchjuly ( talk) 06:08, 29 July 2015 (UTC) reply

The image had more problems than just a lack of rationale. It was an image of a building, improperly labelled as a screenshot of a web page. {{ non-free web screenshot}} is only for images of a web site as a whole, otherwise it could be used for literally any image on the Internet at all, which is plainly ridiculous; hence the deletion under the expeditied ("speedy") deletion criterion F7, "Invalid fair-use claim: non-free images or media with a clearly invalid fair-use tag".
Furthermore, the image wouldn't be usable no matter what licensing tag was put on it. It's an image of an existing building, so clearly replaceable under WP:NFCC#1, No free equivalent - anyone could go to the building and take a free photograph of it. It didn't help that it was improperly sourced to google maps instead of its actual copyright holder, either. — Cryptic 14:39, 29 July 2015 (UTC) reply

Your username and conflict of interest

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "AMIFX", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Trammel Museum of Art". However, you are invited to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you personally, such as "Mark at WidgetsUSA", "Jack Smith at the XY Foundation", and "WidgetFan87".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people, and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, or website, regardless of your username. Moreover, I recommend that you read our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please create a new account or request a change of username, by completing this form, that complies with our username policy. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. -- Diannaa ( talk) 23:40, 24 August 2015 (UTC) reply

Block

Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing Wikipedia because it appears to be mainly intended for publicity and/or promotional purposes. Also, you appear to be an undisclosed paid editor, in violation of the terms of use of this website. If you intend to edit constructively in other topic areas, you may be granted the right to continue under a change of username. Please read the following carefully.
Why can't I edit Wikipedia?

Your account's edits and/or username indicate that it is being used on behalf of a company, group, website or organization for purposes of promotion and/or publicity. The edits may have violated one or more of our rules on spamming, which include: adding inappropriate external links, posting advertisements and using Wikipedia for promotion. Wikipedia has many articles on companies, groups, and organizations, but such groups are generally discouraged from using Wikipedia to write about themselves. In addition, usernames like yours are disallowed under our username policy.

Am I allowed to make these edits if I change my username?

Probably not, although if you can demonstrate a pattern of future editing in strict accordance with our neutral point of view policy, you may be granted this right. See Wikipedia's FAQ for Organizations for a helpful list of frequently asked questions by people in your position. Also, review the conflict of interest guidance to see the kinds of limitations you would have to obey if you did want to continue editing about your company, group, organization, or clients. If this does not fit in with your goals, then you will not be allowed to edit Wikipedia again.

What can I do now?

If you have no interest in writing about some other topic than your organization, group, company, or product, you may consider using one of the many websites that allow this instead.

If you do intend to make useful contributions here about some other topic, you must convince a Wikipedia administrator that you mean it. To that end, please do the following:

  • Add the text {{ unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} on your user talk page.
  • Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:Listusers to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy.
  • Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:
    • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the edits for which you were blocked.
    • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{ unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Diannaa ( talk) 13:38, 3 September 2015 (UTC) reply

Your draft article, Draft:Advanced Markets

Hello, AMIFX. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, " Advanced Markets".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Legacypac ( talk) 01:53, 14 September 2017 (UTC) reply

Notice

The file File:Fortex Logo.png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused logo. Possibly used somewhere that violates G11. No obvious use.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Minorax«¦ talk¦» 14:27, 6 May 2022 (UTC) reply

Use of non-free images in drafts

Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page.
