Hey, been working with you and some others on the BB7 pages, just thought that with the hideous table of nominations (something out of a powerpoint presentation from hell) that boldifying the nominees wouldn't actually do any harm. You said it was obvious who was nominated from the table. Took me a while to work it out, that's why I did what I did. Is it that big a deal? I think making the most relevant thing on the whole page bold seems fair enough. But then again, it's Big Brother and I've got a life outside all this jazz. But I'm curious to understand why it's such a bad thing to make the most significant item of interest bold. Budgiekiller 21:17, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

I wasn't even meant to change the image, and I'm expecting somebody that actually lives in Australia to want to change the image back to the 2005 opening titles image. Also, having a colour that matches the image makes it kinda difficult to see where the image ends and the background begins. Hey, just wanted to say that although I opposed your nomination, it wasn't personal and I think you'd make a great admin soon. I can see that some of the comments (particularly those revolving around the 'malformed rfa') weren't fair at all, but my opposition was simply based on the lack of experience (I've seen RfA's rejected on lack of experience for people with 10k edits!) and the whole BB7 episode with JD_UK. Anyway, I understand that you might want to take a wikibreak but please, please don't take it personally and don't write the whole thing off. Don't hesitate to get in touch if you want to discuss further, but please don't dismiss Wikipedia on this experience! Kind regards... Budgiekiller 19:05, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
The 'swish' is tagged as a fair use image therefore WP:FAIR applies, unless the 'T&Cs' you refer to change the tag on the image, it cant be on a template. I have listed it at Wikipedia:Fair use review, so you may want to detail these 'T&Cs' on the template/image's talk page. Ian3055 18:08, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
Why did you remove these? -- 9cds(talk) 19:15, 15 June 2006 (UTC)
A moment of wikifury. Not to boo-hoo or anything, but I've had a stressful time IRL recently - but that cloud lifted today (I kept my job). I'm more than happy to add new and improved images to the article, I've still been keeping tabs on things. I let my opinion [that my neutral image of Sezer was best] get the better of me, and I apologise for that. Entirely unprofessional I know. I stayed away from the article the past few days because of that, never really understood how annoying differing opinions can cause such grief until that little incident.

What is it about that template that you think is so special? I am here to tell you that the Trading Spaces program has left Esperanza and has merged into WikiProject User Page Help. I have also come to invite you to our new project. If you would like to become a member, feel free to add your name to the list of participants. Whether you join or not, you're still free to join the Trading Spaces program. Cheers! — The King of Kings 22:18, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
You're the person that doesn't agree on the edit. You're using a widescreen monitor, and a big one at that. Because of that, you're seeing a bigger gap than others. On a standard monitor, or maybe even a smaller widescreen monitor, the gap wouldn't be that big. You seem to be the only person that has a problem with the gap being there, and maybe you should ask other people about the gap before you mess up the layout of the article for the sake of your monitor. -- JD talk email 10:02, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey 9cds,
I'm sorry it's taken so long to get back to you. Real life has been very hectic lately. I'm very flexible on my user page. I would like it to be attractive. I'm not such a big fan of "brag sheets" though some indication of what I'm interested in ( fluid dynamics and its category, equality feminism-related stuff, aviation-related, and lots of random subjects here and there (e.g. vegetarianism, the places I've lived and studied). I should indicate that I'm an administrator. I should mention that I'm studying for a PhD in aerospace engineering at MIT, particularly working in multidisciplinary design optimization. I like having some indication of my attitude towards Wikipedia, which has a very heavy emphasis towards not biting the newcomers and civility. I used to have a picture up on my page, but it was old and I deleted it a while ago, though I recently borrowed a camera and could get another one if I chose. There used to be a story on my user page of how I first became a Wikipedian, with diffs of Tacoma Narrows Bridge and Lift (force) and a heavyhanded moral about WP:BITE, and I had a bit of an idea about an essay exploring ownership of articles and the story behind WP:POINT. Anyway, in the true spirit of trading spaces, and the openness of wiki, do what you want! moink 15:20, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.
As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

I think it would be hilarious if you actually tried to block me for removing the instructions that only you ever used/needed to nominate an article. The don't edit means the rest of it. You have a lot to learn as an admin yet. I am reverting and well, its your choice whether to put it up for anything. Ansell 10:49, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
See for discussion regarding your 3RR violation. Ansell 12:02, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Hi, do you know if it would be possible to change the colour of individual lines in this template? If you don't have a clue about this sort of thing, then sorry for asking. -- JD talk email 14:45, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
17:54:22 <JD_UK> i spoke to somebody about it and they said that i shud ask u first since u made it 17:54:28 <JD_UK> but i think they can do it\ 17:54:42 <cds> They can, yes. 17:54:53 <cds> But it's polite to talk to people about changes, rather than start edit wars. 17:55:01 <JD_UK> really? 17:55:09 <JD_UK> you should maybe take your own advice 17:55:26 <cds> Reporting you to a freenode oper.

Wow! I came back to the page to find that someone had worked out how to highlight the cell with the most recent nominees inside. And (I could be wrong), but it was ...... you! Nice. I won't have to subvert the web to get my own way!! :-) Budgiekiller 21:46, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Hello 9cds. I noticed recently on Esperanza's Trading Spaces program that you were listed as a member renovating another's userpage. I am here to tell you that the Trading Spaces program has left Esperanza and has merged into WikiProject User Page Help. WikiProject User Page Help is a new WikiProject designed to help Wikipedians with the technical side of Wikipedia, HTML codes, markups, etc. It has been discussed and the Trading Spaces program has been merged into the our new WikiProject.
Can't you see I'm doing what you couldn't be bothered to do properly? Don't tell me I'm breaking another damn rule when I'm not. -- JD talk email 19:27, 22 June 2006 (UTC)

Sorry for calling you he, that was a genuine mistake. I really do hope you to come back to Wikipedia; you do make good edits, and you know it. Please reconsider. -- JD talk email 23:55, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
Tea, anyone? ;) Please stay.... Celardore 00:01, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Hey 9cds,
I'm sorry it's taken so long to get back to you.
Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, — Cel es tianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your kind message back in December last year. I returned to England in May, having spent the past 5 months working alongside as well as shadowing some of the staff based there on a fixed term basis at the Johannesburg bureau. I won't be able to contribute as much from now on as I would like to due to other commitments but I'll try to help out where I can! :) Wikiwoohoo 15:05, 24 June 2006 (UTC)
Oh right, I didn't know that. Oh well, at least I learnt how to make SVG files :). -- Lorian T C 19:04, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
What makes you say that you can't upload logos in SVG under fairuse? Look at Microsoft. As that's a big company, therefore probably a popular article, how has THAT logo survived as an SVG under fairuse? I have not seen any policies to support this claim. - Рэд хот 20:23, 26 June 2006 (UTC)
Hey, it's me again, the one that complained about the weeks 3 & 4 cutbacks on the BB7 article. I just added to the chronology for weeks 5 & 6 hoping that you wouldn't cut them back. I decided that the few points that I included were fairly important/notable events in this year's Big Brother and don't think that the chronology should be reduced to just noms & evictions. What do you think? King rich 22:28, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
