In respect to those who may have felt the article, "New Testament Baptism, the symbolic significance" presented a bias unwarranted by the evidence presented, I went back through it and tried to remove any language that might justifiably be interpreted as judgmental or dogmatic. If the conclusions drawn or the evidence presented are in error, feel free to edit article in the manner in which you see fit that maintains or improves the integrity of the article. I would contend, however, that there is ample evidence presented in this article, evidence presented in a scholarly and unbiased fashion. To mark it for wholesale deletion without addressing the facts and analysis therein seems contrary to the spirit of the Wikipedia community.

It really is not possible to explain an unfamiliar concept such as symbolism without explaining what is being symbolized.
