Hi. I am Gary Riddell Zempel, AKA GRZ and hence (for about a decade and a half)
Jerzy or “djair-zee” (despite the potential for offense to Slavic-language-aware colleagues with more authentic — i.e., less ironic — claims to the handle), intentionally mispronounced djer-zee rather than as yair-zee.
(At the risk of stating what may obvious to deeper minds, i confess to having made no complaint about the disenfranchisement of editors on non-English Wikipediae, sharing the name Jerzy, who or forced to modify their (better deserved) usernames, upon the decision that usernames be unique over the multiple language Wikipedia’s, so that more legitimate Jerseys were forced to modify their natural/earned names, in order to accommodate my pretentious nickname.
The heading above is, i s’pect, both ironic and evocative: the former bcz my blocked status is both, on one hand, (just and) benign, and on the other, (both clumsy and) obnoxious.
I was recruited as an admin by an established admin, perhaps Mav or Maverick, and encouraged (upon my query to the ever-helpful admin Angela) to accept aforesaid recruitment offer as being appropriate — rather than probably dangerously deranged.
