Hi, this article needs a bit of work. At the moment it's far too close to the Yorkshire Post article, sufficiently close to count as a copyright violation (a big no-no hereabouts).

As it stands, it's just a paste of the newspaper article. We can't leave it like that - obvious copyright problem. It's also written in a very "news" style, rather than a "timeless" encyclopedic style. It's not my field and I don't have time to work on it myself, but hopefully you can do so. There's another editor, 94.30.116.85 ( talk · contribs), who has worked on related articles and might be able to assist. As a hint for Wikipedia, use talk: pages (article and user) a lot. It's a way to get things achieved more easily, avoiding much of the usual conflict.

I really hate to stomp on new editor's first articles, but copyvios are copyvios. Andy Dingley ( talk) 14:34, 21 February 2011 (UTC) reply

Hey, your new article on Martin Whitcombe is gonna need a source. We don't allow pages on living people without sources, so you have 10 days to add one before the article is deleted. Please understand we do this protect the subject of the article, not to upset you. Yoenit ( talk) 09:56, 15 March 2011 (UTC) reply

Notice

The article Keighley RUFC has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No evidence of notability. No independent sources giving substantial coverage are cited, nor have I been able to find any. Also, since this is an ordinary low-level amateur sports club, it is not to be expected that it will satisfy Wikipedia's notability guidelines.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
