St. Matthew Catholic Church is a Roman Catholic church in the Ballantyne section of Charlotte, North Carolina and is the largest Catholic parish in the United States with 10,370 registered families. Started in 1986 in the Tower theater with 237 families, St. Matthew has over 10,000 attending 10 masses per week, six in its sanctuary seating 2000, three at the Waxhaw campus and one in the gym. [1] To learn what to do during the week, church staff members visited Saddleback Church. [2]
