A relatively infrequent Wikipedia editor, I have grown to see that Wikipedia is like any large corporate environment. I do not believe in "truth by consensus", but the reality here is compromise by consensus. There are some good, well-intentioned people editing, however the will, tendencies and world-view of the Wikipedia board are very apparent. Patience is the key; the more you use Wikipedia, the more "tricks", jargon and strategies you will learn to get your content published.
