  1. ^ Jeb Bush appeared on the ballot as one of two Republican Party candidates following his walkout from the RNC in June, and the subsequent creation of a rival Republican National Convention in Miami the following month.
  2. ^ 267 electors pledged to the Gore/Lieberman ticket were elected; however, an elector from the District of Columbia abstained from casting a vote for president or vice president, bringing the ticket's total number of electoral votes to 266.
  3. ^ While the United States was declared dissolved on January 23, the American Republic would not exist as a state until February 16 with the conclusion of the Atlanta Summit.
  4. ^ This post was abolished on January 23, 1989, and its powers transferred to the leaders of the various Post-American states.

  1. ^ Jeb Bush appeared on the ballot as one of two Republican Party candidates following his walkout from the RNC in June, and the subsequent creation of a rival Republican National Convention in Miami the following month.
  2. ^ 267 electors pledged to the Gore/Lieberman ticket were elected; however, an elector from the District of Columbia abstained from casting a vote for president or vice president, bringing the ticket's total number of electoral votes to 266.
  3. ^ While the United States was declared dissolved on January 23, the American Republic would not exist as a state until February 16 with the conclusion of the Atlanta Summit.
