• The Wikpedia IRC Help Channel is a place where you can talk to an experienced editor, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• An experienced helper, some of them administrators and sysops, will help you with anything you need. I personally find this to be the best way to receive immediate answers, and learn about Wikipedia.

There are also other channels related to Wikipedia, including a real-time automated update channel on vandalism, a general discussion forum, and more. Ask one of the helpers to direct you.

• Or visit the Teahouse, a welcoming place where new users can get answers. A great way to ease yourself into the community here. If you ask a question, it should be answered shortly thereafter.

About Myself

I'm a student archaeologist and anthropologist, classicist, and sculptor. I also moonlight occasionally as a voice actor, primarily lending my voice to open source and free culture projects. Wikipedia isn't just a hobby for me; like many here, I believe knowledge should be free and open, and Wikimedia projects are an essential part in helping to make that happen.

Most of my time here is spent largely behind the scenes: welcoming and helping new users, participating in Articles for Creation, reverting vandalism, and doing my part in general to keep Wikipedia a reliable and neutral source of uncensored information.

Since I do spend the majority of my time welcoming and helping new users, I primarily try to keep my user page a place where they can find the information they need to navigate the world of Wikipedia.
