My name is Robert Gray and I live in Beachlands, near Auckland, New Zealand. I was born in the UK and moved to New Zealand to work for Air New Zealand in 1975. I have been involved with Information and Communications Technology since 1969 starting on an IBM/360 computer.

I am now substantially retired although I remain involved as an independent director of Theta Systems and still maintain a number of websites.

Interests

I am a private pilot and have appeared at the Warbirds over Wanaka in 2016 flying in the short take-off and landing competition as well as the Healthy Bastards Bush Pilot Competitions obver the past few years.

My wife and I are keen travellers and maintain a travel blog website about our trips which include motor-cycling around New Zealand and Europe. Other interests are fishing and skiing and I remain active with daily dog walking and the seemingly unending round of home renovations.
