This user account is a bot operated by Remember the dot ( talk). It is used to make repetitive automated or semi-automated edits that would be extremely tedious to do manually, in accordance with the bot policy. This bot does not yet have the approval of the community, or approval has been withdrawn or expired, and therefore shouldn't be making edits that appear to be unassisted except in the operator's or its own user and user talk space. • This bot automatically converts images on the English Wikipedia to the more efficient PNG format. Only images that would see a decrease in file size are automatically converted.

• This bot is NOT so that you can be lazy and upload images in the wrong format for them to be converted later! Images uploaded by this bot will have its name as the uploader instead of yours, so you may not be notified if there is a problem with the image, such as being nominated for deletion.

Even though this bot can process images from other categories, I plan to primarily run it only on images tagged with {{ ShouldBePNG}}.

• Due to the trivial nature of image description pages, it is probably not necessary to preserve their revision history. But just to be sure, this bot preserves it anyway.
