Ilias Bountouris (born July 30, 1966) is a
visual artist, a
cultural management
consultant, and an
author

His art work consists of engagement on
Painting,
Scenography and
Decorating. His paintings are part of private collections in Greece, Europe, Asia and America.
He has created Theatrical performance
sets in Greece, Italy and Slovenia and been specialized in
Decorating, highlighting each regions special cultural character, by adapting local architectural elements into the area.

He has published studies throughout Greece, highlighting local
Cultural heritage. Also, turned Greek old privately owned buildings of historical, folklore and cultural interest such as lighthouses, towers, windmills, watermills, hammams, olive mills, wineries, etc., into cultural places to visit. On behalf of Municipalities, Associations or other bodies, he created Museums out of old buildings such as schools, old factories, industrial units etc.
He has founded the Cultural Park in Athens Greece,

[6] and is a founding member of the Society for the Study, Registration, Preservation & Development of Greek Environmental, Historical and Cultural Heritage ‘Chrisalida’

He has organized cultural events and Visual Artists exhibitions and often participates in lectures, conferences, workshops, etc. where he speaks about cultural heritage and ways to promote it.

As an Author he writes articles and short historical stories on Greek cultural heritage issues.
