Notes for possible range block or edit filter request
IPs from Vilnius, Lithuania on Tele2 Lithuania spamming musician Frank Mortenson. Initially just mentioning non-notable covers by him, now bogus claims that his Strangers in the Night is the school song for multiple high schools. Frank Mortenson is a teenager from Lithuania who has covered Strangers in the Night and other songs.
School article problem first noted by user: Nederwiek [1].
Typical school article edits [2] include the bogus infobox claim: "| song = Frank Mortenson — Strangers in the Night" but other edits have included more generic Frank Mortenson spamming. The original article Frank Mortenson was speedied A7 January 2021. I thought the article existed around April 25 or 26, but I can't find it in the deletion log under any other name so I may be mistaken (possible this was a pipe to a foreign language version).
Similar Mortenson promotional edits have been going on since at least January. See Wikipedia:Administrators'_noticeboard/IncidentArchive1058#User_determined_to_add_their_non-notable_friends_to_articles_(including_through_hoaxing) opened by user:Thjarkur for example, with Lithuanian IPs (from the same cities and some from the same ISP as this report) and a named account. One of the IPs is currently CU blocked and cross wiki blocked, and the named account (who created Frank Mortenson) is CU blocked.
Recently noted attempt to create a Frank Mortenson article on a foreign Wikipedia and then pipe a link to it from English Wikipedia. [3]. Have now found that that cross-wikis edits are nothing new. See m:Steward_requests/Miscellaneous/2021-04#Multiple_article-spam_on_Wikinews_and_Wikipedia)

May 2022 an account and an IP were blocked for repeatedly making unsourced claims that Frank Mortenson was the shooter in Laguna Woods church shooting. Its it possible that we have two different Lithuanian LTAs, one pushing Frank Mortenson and one cutting him down?
