Hi, I'm lirazelf and I live in Glasgow, Scotland. I'm a Programme Manager for Wikimedia UK, part time. [1] This is my main account, my work account can be found at user:Sara Thomas (WMUK) and I keep user:Sara Thomas (training account) as a blank account to use for training.

I was the Wikimedian in Residence at the Scottish Libraries and Information Council, working primarily with public libraries in Scotland, between August 2017-April 2018. I was also Resident at Museums Galleries Scotland from January 2015 - July 2016, working nationally to advocate for the use of open knowledge in a heritage context. Project page can be found here.

I got a wee honorable mention in the "Wikimedian of the Year" category in the UK in 2018. Which was affa lovely :)

Canal in Glasgow

I have an MA(Hons) in English Literature, a PhD in Popular Music (both from the University of Glasgow), and a Diploma in Fundraising from the Institute of Fundraising.

From December 2016-December 2017 I was the Project Officer for Dig It! 2017. I've worked for music venues, music festivals, heritage organisations, charities, and a bundle of other stuff.
