Welcome to my user page. My name is Lachlan but most call me Lanklan due to the elongated nature of my limbs. Im currently studying how to bullshit my way through life, undergoing the International Baccalaureate as one of about 10 males at Tintern Girls Grammar School in Melbourne, Australia. I have a keen passion for music especially that which was untainted by the disposable nature of current society. I enjoy Psychadelic music of the 60's aswell as the Rock and Roll music of the same era. Proto-punk is possibly my favourite of music genres, my favourite bands including The Stooges, The Velvet Underground, and MC5. I have more reccently taken an intrest in the Australian punk scene of the early 1980's, enjoying bands such as Radio Birdman, New Race, and The Saints. I consider myself an Anarcho-Communist though i don't believe that the system can be applied without initially working within the capitalist system, and gradually phasing out the need for currency, which is contrary to the belief of many Anarchists. People who are pretentious and elitist in regard to class and expression have no respect from me, as many of the human race dont, which would lead to my labeling as a Misanthrope. I am a non-beleiver in human decency and believe that everytime something good is to come along there will always be some ignorant cunt who fucks it up for everyone. My personal stance on religion is that i believe its a way that insecure people who cant think for themselves find an excuse for meaning and acceptance in their lives, and personally i am an athiest (if i must conform to boxing myself into a theory of belief). I am a Macintosh user and see no need to explain why, as i see no redeeming features of the PC at all. I believe in equality and peace for all people, and strongly believe that the current government systems and leaders of the most powerful nations of the world are doing nothing to promote this, and have no intrest to in the future. I am interested in the philosophy's of Albert Camus, Søren Kierkegaard, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Immanuel Kant along with many others. I am interested in the political theories of Noam Chomsky, Peter Kropotkin, Karl Marx, Mikhail Bakunin, and Murray Bookchin. [1]
