Although the more heavily edited Wikipedia pages usually have excellent citations already, for many other articles there is significant room for improvement. For academic journal articles, I highly recommend looking up the article's
digital object identifier, using
citer to generate a reference, and then supplementing/fixing the output as needed. For a much longer explanation, see
