So, it can be argued that many of these are biographical articles, that happens to have a historian's or politician's or writer's or fine art collector's historical significance; or on the other side, a historian's or politician's or writer's or fine art collector's historical significance biography that happens to be contributed by a personally and well-versed related person. 
The articles have been reviewed by academia history scholar (third parties) that are not personally or professionally connected to the contributor nor to the subject, analyzing the sources and citations. And in their opinion, even though there may exist a conflict of interest or a moral hazard, they are neutral point of view, and properly disclosed in the contributor's user page, as it is Wikipedia policy.
