My latest obsession has been to augment the article on Upstate New York.

The recent essay by Nicholson Baker (username "Wageless") in the New York Review of Books, about Wikipedia and his editing activities (he's an "inclusionist"), got me started.

I'd love to respond to the fourth-generation Central New Yorker who sent me a message regarding the pronunciation of the white hot dog of Central New York (the Coney, which in my hearing has always been pronounced "cooney", but the message was unsigned.
