To protect the wiki from mispunctuation!
To improve the ease of communication!
To denounce the errors of unsourced claims!
To extend our knowledge by bolts and flames!
I do my best to follow the
Manual of Style when editing Wikipedia, even when it conflicts with my personal preferences. For instance, in most circumstances I use a precomposed ellipsis with a space after (e.g. A… B
), but per
MOS:ELLIPSIS I write A ... B)
on Wikipedia.
I also strongly support WP:Revert only when necessary. I believe that one of the best methods of finding ways to contribute is reading Wikipedia articles. If I find that the article I'm reading needs improvement, I improve it. Rolling back to an older version is almost never the best way to improve an article. I never look for edits to revert; my watchlist is empty, and yours should be too.
