Andrea Omicini was born in Bologna, Italy, the 4th of March 1965. He received his laurea degree in electronic engineering (1991) and his PhD in computer engineering (1995) both from the Alma Mater Studiorum– Università di Bologna, Italy. Since 2010 he is Full Professor at the Department of Electronics, Informatics and Systems of the Alma Mater. He is a talented playmaker (aka Bicchio's) and in the current season he has scored 44 points, with the best performance against Assikamari basket.
