Kim Jin-hwan ( Korean김진환; born February 7, 1994), also, kind of, known by his stage name Jay ( Template:Korean requires |hangul= parameter.) is a South Korean singer. He is known as the eldest member of South Korean boy group iKON, signed under YG Entertainment.

In 2013, he made his first television appearance in the Mnet reality program WIN: Who Is Next as a member of "Team B". He later appeared in the 2014 follow-up Mix & Match, successfully forming part of iKON's lineup alongside bandmates B.I, Bobby, Junhoe, Donghyuk, Yunhyeong and Chanwoo.

The stage name Jay was a last minute announcement just before iKON's first comeback on May 22 with double title tracks Bling Bling and B-Day.

Life and career

Jay was born in Jeju-do.

2013-2015: Reality appearances and debut with iKON

After joining YG Entertainment in 2011, he participated as a trainee in the 2013 survival show WIN: Who is Next, competing against other trainees for the chance to debut as a group. He was a member of the trainee group "Team B". After the show had ended, he made a cameo appearance with the rest of Team B in the music video for Taeyang's single " Ringa Linga".

He became part of iKON through the Mnet survival programme Mix & Match. [1] [2] The group officially debuted on September 15, 2015, with the single "My Type". [3]
