Merritt Clifton (born Septembre 18, 1953) is an investigative journalist and currently serves as Editor of Animals 24-7. He was previously the Editor at Animal People, Inc., from 1992 until 2013. [1] According to a 2006 note on Best Friends, "Merritt has been a news reporter, editor, columnist, and foreign correspondent since 1968, specializing in animal and habitat-related coverage since 1978. He is a charter member of the Society of Environmental Journalists, and a four-time winner of national awards for investigative reporting." [2]
