(born Charles Bourke on December 30, 1948 in Long Island New York) is an American fine artist, painter, muralist, photo- grapher and a poet. Born to William Bourke and Elizabeth Haggerty in a family of 9 children, raised in Roslyn Heights and later in Sands Point, New York.
Work
Charles Wildbank studied at
Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York 1966-1970. He was awarded B.F.A. Cum Laude degree in Fine Arts and Photography. During his third year of art college in 1969, he was awarded a fellowship at the
Yale University School of Music and Art. Further study into special education awarded him a scholarship at
Teachers College, Columbia University, where he earned his M.S. degree in 1972 in Special Education for the Hearing Impaired.
