Background

Ever since the Israel-Hamas war, the IDF has been launching military operations into the cities of the West bank, [3] causing clashes between its soldiers and palestinian militant groups, which has caused the PNA security forces, which is the official interior security force in the west bank with backing from Israel. These incursions have caused the death of atleast 243 Palestinians and wounded at least 2,472.other [4] Israel has also arrested more than a 1400 Palestinian in the west bank according to the Palestinian prisoners club [5].

The Israeli occupation was reportedly causing massive destruction to the infrastructure of the city using a bulldozer on nazareth street and inside the Jenin refugee camp. The IDF had also injured a Palestinian child using bullet according to health officials. The operation caused clashes between the units involved Palestinian resistance forces, most notable the PIJ and its paramilitary wing al quds brigades. which would eventually lead to the Ambush of the israeli occupation unit

The Ambush

During the military operation in jenin, while a Panther APC was maneuvering in the city, it fell victim to a powerful IED which was planted only 1.5 meters deep from the vehicle and controlled remotely exploded on it. This intial attack caused israeli reinforcements to be called, once the reinforcements entered the site of the attack another IED exploded on it causing the number of casualties to double.
