Xenia Pestova is a concert pianist living in North Wales. Originally of Russian heritage, she spent her formative years in New Zealand and Canada. She is currently Head of Performance at Bangor University School of Music. [1]

She is a proponent of contemporary repertoire for piano and toy piano, [2] and often works with electroacoustic media and live electronics.

Her 2010 recording of Karlheinz Stockhausen's Mantra for Naxos Records (with Luxembourg pianist Pascal Meyer) [3] received a Diapason D'or [4] mention (France) and the Supersonic award from Pizzicato magazine (Luxembourg) [5].
