Per WP:NFCC#10c, all non-free content must include a separate rationale, specifically containing the name of the article for each use of the media on that media's file page. The name of the article does not need to be linked, and redirected names are acceptable, but the names should be clear and obvious within the rationale. Media uses that fail to have a clearly-apparent rationale for a use in an article are subject to be removed from said article within seven days. This task is to identify media uses that fail #10c through the steps outlined below. The task will not attempt to make any judgement on the validity of the rationale or other factors of NFCC, and is only to assure #10c criteria is met.
I work through this list of NFCC#10c violations and do the following:
1. I check the file page and check, whether for each use there is a rationale ( rationale checker).
1.1 I will try to repair non-free use rationales invalidated through a page move.
Note: Consensus has determined that the name of a redirect pointing to a the page where a non-free file is used is acceptable in the rationale. ( Discussion)
2. If not, then I
3. Check Category:Non-free files lacking a non-free use rationale for more than 7 days. If after 7 days the use still lacks a rationale, I remove the file transclusion from the concerned article. (See also Category:All non-free files lacking a non-free use rationale and null edit file pages as necessary.)
and
Note: On pages with complex tables, I will replace the file with File:Semi-Transparent.png.
4. if 3. orphaned the file I will place {{subst:di-orphaned fair use-notice|file name without namespace identifier}} ~~~~ on the talk page of the original uploader.
and
5. if 7 days after performing 3. the file is not used in any articles I will tag the file page with {{ di-orphaned fair use|date={{subst:DATE}} }}
Hazard-Bot will tag the orphaned file for speedy deletion
I will retag files that are tagged as NFC and likely to not meet WP:TOO with a copyright tag from Category:Public domain copyright templates, {{ NFC below TOO}} and possibly {{ Trademark}} and put relevant information from the rationale into {{Information | description = | source = | date = | author = }}.
Example
{{NFC below TOO}}
== Summary ==
{{Information | description = | source = | date = | author = }}
== Licensing ==
{{PD-textlogo}}
{{Trademark}}
Note: Retagged files will be located in Category:All non-free files possibly below the threshold of originality for review.
I will bring unclear cases to WP:NFCR (Note: Basic geometric shapes and typefaces are below WP:TOO.) ( Start new section).
==[[:File:ImageNameHere]]==
Place {{ Non-free review}} at the top of concerned files (or {{NFCR|SECTION TITLE}} if the section is not named like the file).
