Medialogy is the title of a University education in Denmark. The education began in Esbjerg, Denmark's fifth largest city, under Aalborg University Esbjerg. The founder was professor Jens Arnspang. Lectures are in English by a team of international academics. Visiting lectures by notables in the field are included in curriculum. In Medialogy Esbjerg http://www.medialogy.eu senior students have access to the SensoramaLab virtual reality complex to create their projects. Alternative human computer interfaces to VR and games are explored and created in the lab. 2007- The International Conference on Artificial Reality & Telexistence (ICAT) is the oldest international conference on Virtual Reality, and was hosed outside of Asia/Pacific for the first time in 2007 when held in Esbjerg, Denmark. State of the art innovations in technology in the field of Virtual Reality, Mixed Reality, Artificial Reality, Augmented Reality, and others were presented alongside novel ways to transfer and express information. There were panels, demonstrations and workshops covering artistic and societal works. Leading researchers papers informed of novel theories, methods, applications and practices related to artificial, augmented, or mixed realities and telexistence. Ludic Designs for All (LEDA) brought together leading academics exploring games, game design, HCI in games, and game play across disciplines. Topics include, for example, the therapeutic practice of digital video games, alternative interfaces, interactive multimedia environments and others.
