Fruitflow is a neutraceutical, produced from an aqueous extract of tomato it is a lycopene-free and fat-free water-soluble tomato concentrate (WSTC). It is manufactured in liquid form (WSTC I) and powder form (WSTC II)and recognised as GRAS by the American Food and Drug Administration ⁽²⁾

Fruitflow was invented by Dr Asim Duttaroy whilst at the Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health of Aberdeen University.[ ³]

Fruitflow was, in 2009 the first product to receive approval from the European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) under Article 13(5) opening the claim of “helps maintain normal platelet aggregation” ⁴

Cardiovascular Disease
